I purchased the Scent 101 machine and a $50 bottle of oil. Within a week the scent machine stopped working. My husband took it off the wall to try to troubleshoot and noticed it had an electrical burning smell and there were small waves of smoke coming out of the back panel. I described the issue to customer service. Not once did they apologize for the experience. I was sent a return label and told “this has never happened before. We will need to inspect the machine before we send a replacement expeditiously.” I shipped the machine back. It’s been 5 days. When I inquired as to why I have to wait for their “inspection” to receive a new machine I was again told it has never happened and they will have to assess the machine before they will send a replacement out. Meanwhile they have my $250 and I have none of the products I paid for. Their customer service is horrible. The fact that they did not even apologize for such a poor experience and potentially hazardous machine malfunction is CRAZY!!! Avoid this company!!

Recently I purchased a new scent machine, living in Australia it’s always more expensive when you take shipping into account, I’ve been a customer for many years and spent quite a lot of money with Aroma retail. Yesterday the blue bottle that holds the fragrance oil in the machine became unglued, I struggled to remove it from the machine but eventually managed, I took photos of the issue and emailed Aroma Retail. The response I received was they’d replace the bottle to a US address, I replied and said I’m in Australia and there response was I’d have to pay for the bottle to be sent and order it through the online store, I naturally complained and told them they’d just lost a very good customer they’d had for several years.

Absolutely Love Aroma Retail! I recommend to everyone. I have several minis that I keep in vehicles and one in my bedroom along with the biggest machine the offer to vent throughout my house. I’m obsessed with Black Orchid scent and Empire. I’ve always been able to call the company directly with any questions such as changing the scent for my monthly subscriptions. I will also put them above Aroma360 because I’m able to control my machine through the app and customer service has always been helpful.

I got the three pack, Spectrum, Astronus 10 and Oud Oberon and on first application they all smelled a bit "chemically" for want of a better word and also very similar. I will edit this review in the next 12 hours if things change for the better. Thanks.

Great while it worked. Bottle lid is stuck in machine, emailed customer service for advice. No response. Now I have oil with no diffuser. Not buying another, will have to figure out a way to diffuse oils that I have left.

I purchased this in good faith in March 2024. I removed and could not reinsert the bottle back in. The black cap got stuck. One has to line up the bottle with the line on the white machine and bottle. It would not go in completely. I tried to pull bottle out and the ring detached from the bottle bottom, rendering the entire machine useless. What a waste of money and extremely poor engineering. I do not recommend anyone buy this. The oil are great, the machines is not.

A relative gave me his Aroma Scent Machine 101 because he didn't wish to frequently spend money on more scent oils for it every time it ran out. I absolutely LOVE the smell of their Cedar Seduction and spent the $200 on a 27oz bottle. Sadly, you could barely smell it while set to 30 secs every minute unless you were right in front of it. I used up the 27 oz bottle in 30 days. $200 is a lot of money every month trying to disperse a wonderful scent into just one average sized room. Well, I ended up purchasing another scent machine 101 and have it going on the other side of the room. Now my wife laughs at me and keeps asking if they are on even when you can clearly hear them kicking on every 30 secs as they are not quite. As much as I love this scent it just doesn't disperse the smell beyond 6 feet from each of the machines in the same room. You'd think with these machines going off as frequently as I have them set to that the whole house would have a great smell of cedar seduction but no guest has ever mentioned smelling anything. I would love nothing more to have this scent cast out in my home but I can't see it being possible. Maybe other scents would work better but based on using 2 machines in one room going off 30 seconds every minute from dawn to dusk you'd think I'd overwhelm the room with the scent of cedar seduction but nobody can notice I'm even using the machines.

Disappointing experience. Bought a compact travel diffuser, but encountered issues with three units - one malfunctioned, another leaked oil, and the third just stopped working. However, they offered credit to upgrade to a larger model. Yet, the app for the new unit doesn't function properly. The manager was initially helpful and friendly, but when I mentioned the internal programmers might be at fault, her demeanor shifted. While I appreciate supporting a small business, if you seek hassle-free purchases, consider exploring other retailers for similar products.

We bought the smaller in house machine in March. About 2 weeks after having it it wouldn’t consistently come on. We brought it back the store and they told us how to do a reset and that we didn’t need to use the app at all. Brought it home plugged it in and it worked for a few days. We had to reset it everyday. We brought it back in last Friday and they told us that they would have their technicians test it and get back to us on Monday. One of the girls called Monday and said I hear you’re have trouble with the time. Yes the time was not accurate but that doesn’t even matter because it still never ran. They called back today to tell me it’s working. I picked it up plugged it in after work and it lasted 15 mins then stopped. We restarted it and the same thing- 15 mins. On the second visit to the store we asked if we could get a replacement. They said no they don’t do that unless the techs find a malfunction. The machine is a piece of junk. Don’t waste your money. They’ll tell you it’s working and send you on your way. I wish I never wasted money on this.

I found this company when I went to check out aroma360 who is doing heavy advertising but has horrible reviews here and across other platforms. So far my experience has been good, except for after less than two days my app says my oil level is 44%. At my current settings the company says this oil should last 4-6 weeks. If it doesn't last at least a month I'll be returning the machine. The oil is far to expensive to only last a couple weeks. I have a feeling the app is horribly inaccurate in estimating the amount of oil left.

I have my professional machine for almost 3 years. I have called customer service a number of time to ask questions when something went wrong. Working with customer service was great. They were very helpful, at some point they did not know what was wrong. They replaced my unit within a week. I would recommend them to anyone who wants to scent their home.

FINAL UPDATE…I received my machine today…it was well packed and I am very happy with the product…it was a long time in coming but definitely worth the wait…I have also updated my stars…thank you… UPDATE…within 1 hour of posting this review, I received an email saying my machine would be shipped…will be happy to update when I receive it… SECOND UPDATE: Thank you for your response…I was one of the customers you mention in your response who DID reach out privately as you suggested…without success…however I am absolutely happy to revise this review AFTER I receive my order…my purpose as stated below, was to alert other consumers that shipping times/communications might impact orders intended as Xmas gifts…very hopeful that my ultimate experience will be as positive as many others… ORIGINAL POST I ordered a scent machine on November 18 and was told that it would be shipped the next week. I checked in the next week and was told there were supply problems but that it would be shipped the next week.when I still received no notice I was told that they had a “strict policy of only sending out orders in the sequence they were received” and was offered a complimentary bottle of oil. When I asked when they estimated it would be shipped, was told…the next week…and here we are again…no shipping notice…no product…nothing…my concern is that if there were problems (as they said there were) a simple contact from them proactively letting me know would have been professional and responsible. At this point I have no idea if or when I will receive my $200 plus order…I have NEVER written a negative review on any one before. But I did want to alert others regarding these issues in the event that they need these products as gifts.

The scents are good and everything seems great except for one major flaw. Over and over again the machine fails to keep the time correct. This is a basic function of any piece of technology and is simply and easily accomplished by anything with a microprocessor or microcontroller. But for some reason my Aroma Retail Scent diffuser always sets its time to something other than the actual time. This is critical for a device that as a basic function is supposed to run on a schedule and particularly if you have connected it to your HVAC system and need to synchronize with your fan settings. I have had my diffuser for a few months and this is an ongoing issue that they seem unable to correct. I am guessing they hired their somewhat smart 13 year-old nephew or something to do their software. Time to hire a real technical expert to fix this extremely basic issue.

This company is an example to follow. First, the quality of the products: I ordered a bottle of Vanilla Breeze fragrance and the quality of the fragrance was beyond all my expectations. The scent is rich but not overpowering, it is intense with lots of different nuances. The quality stays the same over time: it simply is the best fragrance I have ever owned and would buy any other fragrance with my eyes (and nose!) closed only based on description, even if I can’t try it beforehand. Secondly, the customer care representative is simply the nicest person ever! I tried to get a coupon for a small discount by signing up to their newsletter but the coupon never made it through my inbox. I contacted them and they were so sorry about it (probably not even their fault!!) and gave me access to an alternative coupon straight away. We stayed in contact until they were sure I successfully received my order and it felt like they really cared about their customers. Finally, special mention to the packaging which was impeccable: I was a bit worried about the shipment from Las Vegas to Oxfordshire but the bottle made it completely fine without any damage. A massive congrats to them: from their products to their kindness, they simply made my day!!

I was sent a diffuser that was defective. Returned the unit for a refund, but the cost of the original shipping was deducted from my refund. Why should I pay shipping for an item that was broken! Horrible customer service.!!! Got a call asking me to remove my review! She said my machine was working fine when I returned it. Absolutely not True!!! I sent them videos of the loud sound it was making and every day it just got louder.

I’m not sure if I just got a faulty unit, I only smell the scent when I’m right in front of it, I come from outside and don’t smell it. I had it running at 70% already and the noise is another that I have yet to get used to, I can only imagine my guest wondering what that hissing sound is.

Smells like a cheap car freshener to me. I’m pretty sure it’s just there to mask the cigarette smoke.
