"I had received exceptional service from Stephanie Law, the clerk at ATB North Hill Branch. I had brought in a draft and she needed to get it verified by calling the other financial institution so that there would be no holds on my account. The other financial institution gave her such a hard time that she had to call three different phone numbers, and some of those agents on the other line were incredibly uncooperative and created a very hostile environment for what was a basic procedure from Stephanie‘s perspective. Stephanie kept her cool. She didn’t get phased. She went through all the hoops to get connected with someone who could verify the draft. And after 15 minutes she had success. I was so impressed at how she was able to keep cool under what seemed like a really unpleasant situation. Seeing how far she was willing to go to make sure that my banking needs were met showed me that I was a valued customer and that ATB wants my business. I am so impressed with this branch and this bank."

"The Teller at the ATB Taradale wrongly deposited our trust cheque back into the same trust account even though the back of the cheque clearly shows the general account where the cheque is supposed to be deposited . While I do understand that these things happen and tellers do make mistakes, it is not up to us, the clients / depositors, to rectify the mistakes they make. For that branch to ask us to re-issue a cheque from trust which the teller deposited to the wrong account is not acceptable as this action will mess up our accounting system / program, not to mention our reporting documentation to our client. The least the bank can do is to resolve the matter without further inconveniencing the client/depositor. This same mistake happened to another law firm about a decade ago at the ATB Centre Street branch. When we caught the mistake, the teller (upon the advisement of their manager) simply applied the necessary solution without inconveniencing us any further and without making such a big fuss about it. The ATB Centre Street branch also provided a written explanation which we were able to send to the Law Society at the time of audit. At ATB Taradale, WE the client / depositor had to come up with the solution. IT IS EVIDENT THAT NO ONE IN THAT BRANCH IS CAPABLE OF PROVIDING BANKING SOLUTION TO ONE SIMPLE PROBLEM"

"Do not use this institution. They charge for every transaction AND charge for unlimited transactions. They block transfers at their discretion then lie about blocking the transaction. When confronted they demand details about the purpose of the transaction. Totally criminal organization and will steal every cent as they see fit without allowing you access to your funds. Will not allow me to remove my money from my account. Nearly $10,000 they will not allow me to transfer out of so I can close my account. Worst experience I've ever endured."

"Fraudulent transactions on my account will not be returned as a 2 factor verification was used!! FRAUDULENTLY. My credit card was also compromised the same day although different financial Institute and credited back no questions asked. ATB needs to do better on these situations. Basically advised to remove tap off my card and lower limit for online/POS transactions.. ridiculous how we have to do these things just to protect our money. These scammers are ridiculous and we pay the price for it. ATB knows exactly how these things happen yet have no intention of protecting their customer. Was provided some good information from the customer service rep. I spoke with, however it doesn’t solve my problem. ** update - ATB refunded the amount to my account."

"Wait online for an hour for the next fellow Albertan, and when they do answer it is, "Hello, this is Grrbdgbetete, can I help you?" My account was compromised and the girl said I had to wait for it to post, but don't worry that they would reverse any NSF fees until then. 16 days later, the fraud charge posted and no one wrote a note about NSF reversal., so they took half my money anyways. ADIOS ATB!!!"
"I had money in what I thought was a savings account was informed it was in an account that I could not withdraw money the same day so I was told to go home and wait up to 5 days they gave me a phone number to call when I got home i phoned while in the bank and was told if I come in the next afternoon I would get it I waited the day went in and was told I still can’t get the money— the service I got was not helpful as an 83 year old I expect a bank to keep their word it was not huge withdrawal by today’s standard plus it was not going to be given to me in cash but by check which is another 5 days before it would be cleared , even talking with the bank manager I was told to go home and come back tomorrow— so beware of any investment you make with this bank they hold your money hostage plus they lie"

"Close my business account without any notice. ATB did not call, send an email, or a send a mail to say that they are closing my business account. They just went ahead and do so!!! "My computer is giving me an error when I try to log into Atb. I’ve had this issue since 11 December and absolutely no one at the Atb will help. It appears that the problem is with Wi-Fi. They’re saying not their problem and they won’t fix, they problem is with my computer as it longs on to ATB using another netwitk . My computer has been checked. Their service is dreadful. That included there app which says to call them. I can’t be the only person with their problem. Time to try a new bank. Sad for the province"
