The service is very very very slow and there is no accountability. My personal financial rep at the Pointe Claire branch takes weeks to move; he doesnt call back or respond to emails timely. When I called the branch to complain, they took details and asked me to hold on until they can open a case. I was put on hold for 35 minutes just to open a case .... if this is the amount of time it takes them to open a case, what the hell am I complaining about!
One of worst worst companies I have had to deal with in my life !!!! Put you on hold for hours and hours on end !!!also lie saying they can’t cancel a transaction you do from your own account with your own money !!! I will be letting and posting on all Social Media Platforms about this they need to better train their STAFF about customer service . It doesn’t even deserve 1 STAR .
This company has bombarded me with emails. A breach of the Privacy and Electronics Communications Regulations. I do not know who they are and how they managed to get my personal information. They have applied cookies without consent and placed trackers in my search which thankfully have been blocked. Having visited their website, I discovered they are a French based company dealing with insurance, banking and other issues. What they are doing is illegal and a total breach in compliance with data protection laws. I have reported them to the requisite bodies.
I had a small accident the saturday, with all my 4 kids. The sunday everything was done by Desjardins insurrance, the process is very smooth and easy. I'm waiting for the appointment for replace some parts but until now i'm having a great experience with Desjardins. Even today, day of labour day, desjardins contacted me for replace all the kids seats at the actual value of it. Just Amazing.
I definitely wouldn't tell anyone nothing good about this company. the worst insurance company I have ever dealt with.

I've had to do repeat calls to Desjardins for the same purpose and there is no record between the calls. Agents do not seem to know what they are doing and have advised me wrong multiple times. I've repeated the same process and still don't have a result. I want to move my business away from Desjardins.
Awful services at Desjardins, I asked for a money transfer from my pension plan to another institute and it took over 3 weeks to get it done!!!! I called them 4 times and they keep giving me excuses without any outcome!!! stay away from them.
Very disappointed with Jamie Grabell, Desjardins Insurance Agent (Toronto) and Desjardins Insurance (Customer Service, Dissatisfaction Handling Team). I received a quote for vehicle insurance. Then five days later, when I went to finalize it, the annual price had gone up, “just a slight increase” Jamie said, but it was $552 more annually. Apparently, the insurer/Jamie Grabell/Desjardins does not need to honour a quote. It can be changed, by them, at will and with no evidence nor reason provided. In what other industry can a quote be changed with no explanation given? Then, upon cancellation, as a result of this unfounded increase, I am charged “an early termination fee”. We had been with State Farm and then Desjardin for decades. Given this experience, I would not recommend Jamie Grabell, nor Desjardin Insurance.
I spend 8 hours on multiple calls to customer service stuck on hold everytime for over an hour each time, no one answers - does anyone actually work there? Lost hours of my life and still cannot fix my issue because no one ever answers the call.
I’ve always had great service with this bank. Customer service is quick to call you back when you need their help. Recently my credit card was temporarily blocked and in a matter of minutes it was resolved.

At first, Desjardins was the best with great values. Now that Mr. Desjardins is gone, sewer rats took over and fell into Neocolonialism
Enough mess from this company , I will rather stick to the other one .
I just received a letter from Desjardins. I am disgusted with the fact that Desjardins is trying to 'steal' more money from me by making up the fact that my vehicle is high risk and that they need to collect an additional $500 each year. My Ford Bronco is not listed in any of the lists published with the models of the most frequently stolen vehicles in Ontario (where I live)!
I would give them zero if I was able to. I have been a customer with them for 8 years, insuring both home and auto. In 2022 we added an additional vehicle. They informed me today that they decided to give their "Adjusto" an overhaul this year. Originally, we were told our discount would be locked in as long as we had insurance with them. Our policy renewed this year with an incredible spike in cost. I finally had the opportunity to contact them today, I was preoccupied with the death of my mother. The agent informed me that they had removed the old Adjusto program entirely along with the discount it had provided us. With the cost of the auto policy increasing 23%, this would also increase the cost of the mid-policy cancellation 23%, giving us a lovely fee of approximately $830. Never having a single claim, what loyalty. When adding the new vehicle in 2022 they also updated none of the information regarding the other two vehicles. If you are looking for an insurance company that provides no loyalty, will squeeze you for every dollar, and stab you in the back when you decide to say farewell, they are the one for you! The good news is a class action lawsuit has already started against them. What a horrible company.
They promise the price and then change it when they want. Big liers and dishonest!
Dont use Dejardains insurance. They came 2 weeks after my place was flooded and told me it would be 4 to 6 weeks to get my place repaired. Im still waiting . looks like they will never repair my place. I need my baseboards installed, flooring etc. They never offered me a place to stay. i am living with cement floors.
This company offers home “insurance” and advertises that you’ll be covered for living arrangements, etc, but in practice they won’t cover my costs to put up my father in-law while his apartment has been completely destroyed, and they claim it takes 3 weeks to even appraise the repair costs let alone start the work. I am so frustrated that I’ve been paying them thousands of dollars for years for such poor service. Don’t use Desjardins!
Worst insurance experience ever - got into a car accident and was left 2 weeks with difficulty with even daily tasks. Had my vehicle towed and after being a customer for countless years they did nothing and refused to pay the towing company, leaving the towing company to take money out of MY OWN bank account. After being off work for a month already and having a family to support. You're better off with another insurance company because this was utterly disappointing and horrible.
