I’m extremely disappointed with the service I received at Lloyds Bank today. I recently applied for a credit card and, unlike other banks where I’ve always been approved online, I was asked to visit a branch to provide ID. I went to the Bedford branch with my passport and my old driver’s licence. The lady at the front desk told me my application was missing my middle name, and that I could use my driver’s licence if it had my current address. When I got home, my new driver’s licence had arrived — it had my correct address — so I drove all the way back to the branch to complete the process. After checking everything again, she told me she still couldn’t verify my identity because my middle name wasn’t on the card application. Both my passport and driver’s licence clearly showed my first and last name and current address, yet she said there was nothing more she could do. The whole experience was incredibly frustrating and a complete waste of time, petrol, and effort. I left feeling that Lloyds Bank has no flexibility or regard for its customers’ time. This will be the last time I deal with Lloyds Bank.

Have tried over two days to make a Bank Transfer. Online requirements completed including extra security steps with Lloyd anti fraud Dept. Told transfer was now unblocked BUT transfer not actioned. Website now saying ‘account subject to restrictions’. What restrictions? Very irritating!! Am I supposed to withdraw thousands in cash. Really hopeless.

I made an application for a business bank account in May. Still asking documents for verification and everytime 30 days pass. Last time they made me wait 30 days to tell me that trading address is not complete, I should have added the REGION, like if postcode and street name wasn't enough to prove the address is unique. I gave up and made an account with HSBC, got it accepted in 10 days. Save yourself time, Lloyds bank lives in the past, there are many better options.

Lloyds have introduced a new policy which means only one cashier at the desk. There’s a queue outside the door who buy idea was it to come up with this idea? It really is that I don’t want to open any more branches anymore. I feel sorry for the elderly and those disabled Lloyds used to be such a good Bank.

Red flag ! This bank is a shadow of it former self and i will like to warn others to proceed with caution . The overall process with customer support is poor and the interest rate is below average , Finding out about RAW MINE and figuring it out was a game changer . The service is superb and the pay very good .

Never had a problem but they’re are too old school. I have been trying to access and account, already linked to an exisiting account, i’ve been told many things from different people, all leading to problems costing me hours and hours and money into trying to fix problems when banks like Monzo or Norwegian banks would easily have fixed this with their better online ID checks. Complete joke and would not recommend. After these problems are sorted i will be changing banks.

I visited the Daventry Rd Coventry branch this afternoon with my husband. The assistant blatantly ignored me each time I tried to expand on the problem we had. She asked me for ID, but when I offered it to her, she ignored me and took my husband's card instead! Neither of us could believe her rudeness. She did resolve our problem and we then were dismissed with a cursury 'Enjoy your afternoon!', but she'd already ruined it.

If I could give them less than one star believe me I would, this bank is a joke, if you want to go around in circles and get no resolution then Lloyds in the bank for you, if you do not want to be protected then this is the bank for you, if you want to deal with untrained and incompetent morons that repeat themselves systematically then this is the bank for you. If you do not want to be treated well then this is the bank for you, if you do not want you money safe then this is the bank for you. If you want uneducated fools handling your money then by all means use this bank, if you value your money, time and sanity then I suggest you find a bank with trained and competent staff with an education, I spent over two days on the phone with these uneducated and ill mannered people repeating themselves sending me back and forth between agents who very clearly require re training and perhaps there pink slip while I slowly lose my mind to a very simple and solvable problem, i even had another representative on the line with me who could not understand why they were so unable to do such a simple task and solve such a simple problem. Even complaints that I raised were not properly raised and when I finally spoke to a supervisor they were also very incapable of resolving this very simple problem that literally involved looking at there email, provided to us by them, or even looking at there portal provided to us by them This is not a bank that I would recommend, and certainly not one to trust with your money, that is if you don't want to lose it.

Lloyds bank just not competing with other much better more customer focused banks. Lloyds have shut lots of their counters so the situation many are faced with is just one person serving on a counter, a long line of people (as people are faced with coming from much further away). They have other staff stood around and just the one person serving on the counter. it’s just not a good impression. When I visit the bank (Kingswood Bristol) it just makes me realise I must change banks! Lloyds are rubbish.

A couple of weeks ago, I wanted to create a new business plan for my company and was looking for a professional template. Spent ages answering there questions with a Merchant called planmybusiness.com, filling in content and to be honest the end product was basically exactly what I had typed in in word format, total rubbish. They wanted a subscription which I cancelled straight away as the product was crap only to find today they tried to change my account £53.00 Thankfully Lloyds Bank blocked the payment and the fraud team have got onto me straight away, even before I knew what was going on, so credit due where credit is due, thank you Lloyds fraud team

Decided to switch to Lloyds Bank last week. Applied for 1 account. In error they sent 3 letters of decline and one accept. They opened 4 bank accounts and sent 4 debit cards. Called switcher team, very little apology given for their mess of my application. They were forced to close 3 of the accounts due to a systems glitch with my application. What a great start to being a new customer. Perhaps I should go elsewhere?

All the Lloyds bank in my area closed, to get to the nearest one, I have to take two buses. I also work during the week, which makes getting to the bank during the week, and the bank doesn't open at the weekend. I decided to give Lloyds bank a call, surprise, I was greeted by a bot telling me there no human there...surprise!!! Tried everything to get a hunan but to no avail...fed up, fed up, fed up of Lloyds bank. I wish I didn't have to use them...I'm hoping to change banks to tge Cooperative. I get no benefit from banking with Lloyds except dealing with Robots

I had a problem with a rogue payment from my credit card early august - it appeared to be a scam, but I couldn't contact anybody at the time - A week later I tried contacting them and the card was cancelled - eventually (there were no more tranasctions) its is october tomorrow and I have still not recieved my new card , yet I do have the last 4 digits on my phone app. So I don't have a credit card or a PIN but I can use it with my phone. The messaging app that they now use is ****ing useless. and the "process" has been very stressful. I've been a customer with Lloyds for over 40 years - they have always done a grand job... until now. very dissapointed and reluctantly I am going consider using somebody else

Had a debit card online payment for £11.50 declined. Despite having much more available in my current account. I understand that my accounts are protected so this stressed me out. What can they see that i can't? After almost 4 hours of online chat I still don't know what the problem is? Dire service for me as a customer of 45 years

Four or five months ago Lloyds arbitrarily reduced my overdraft. At this point I should say, thankfully, I have never needed to use it. Had the same amount for years. I complained and it took them three months to respond in what was a ‘simple’ complaint. When they did eventually respond they basically said they can do what they want. No real apology as to why they took so long to respond. Over the years this organisation has not looked after its customers closing so many branches. This is how they treat someone who has been with them for 50 years. I am sure it is only a matter of time before they close my local branch in Sudbury Suffolk. When that happens I will move my account elsewhere. Probably First Direct. We should have let them sink during the Banking crisis in 2008.

Made nine attempts to pay a business online via Lloyds. Never had a problem in the past, but for some reason when typing in the code number Lloyds sent me they didn't call me back verifying they'd received it. The alternative was doing it through AI which also turned out so utterly useless! Rang LLoyds call centre (they were more interested booking me a call with one of their finance advisors) & was told to try paying the company directly over the phone, something I'm not keen on doing, it becomes more of a security risk. Not the call centre operator's fault, she has a procedure dictated by her superiors. I'm now going to send the company a cheque by post, the old fashioned but safe & reliable way.
