Nothing quick about whiskey. I thought an update was due as we approach nearly 12 months of posting this review and still not complete. I was spurred on to write a review by an email promising a free bottle of whiskey for a 5star review. Initially my experience with London Cask Traders was professional and a speedy process making the investment easy. the review of 2 stars is from the 2nd part of an investment which is trying to get rid or sell whiskey, which is a lengthy process and mine are still not sold nearly 4 months later. The buy back option exit strategy from London Cask is not as simple as it would read on the website. I was quickly told London Cask is not obligated to buy back even at a discounted price which was fare but new news for me at the time. After asking numerous times if this was an option I still have not received a yes or no answer. I was informed that an investment would be best left for 5 to 8 years unfortunately my circumstances had changed and within a year I needed to sell or try to sell. This has made me realise my own naivety in the whiskey trade. I am continually told that 'now is a great time to invest in whiskey'. Whilst in reality if there is not a network to sell my barrels at such an early stage the pool of potential buyers is going to be greatly reduced when worth more value, even if I had the ability to hold onto my investment. My advice would be think of how to get rid of your whiskey barrels if London cask traders is unable to. *updated 09/10/25* Now 14 months into trying to sell these casks, I have lost confidance in the ability to sell. But have also grown tired the of consistantly needing to chase the news of any potential sales. It has become almost a joke when chasing this issue that London cask thought my casks had sold, but unfortunately it was another Robert Oneill selling similar casks. If there are other reviews explaining that the process was easy or straight forward then congratulations to them and I will be honest in saying im jealous as that is far from my situation. Good luck to anyone investing in the future now the india trade deal has come through. This is an expensive lesson I have learnt from.
Expect guidance on Cask selection by the sales agents and your asked what your investment requirements are whether they be short or long term. Seemless transaction and paperwork provided promptly. Regular arranged bonded warehouse visits & whisky tasting events. Really easy to get hold of the agents to discuss your investments performance. I have made two purchases to date & currently hold 4 casks.Highly recommended.

I have been a client of London Cask Traders for several years. In that time I have bought casks and sold a couple. The Company are professional, understanding, informative and have made me a profit in the transactions. Andrew Parker has helped me navigate the purchase and sales which enabled me to sell making a healthy profit after a few years. I’d thoroughly recommend them to anyone looking for a different investment
Bought my first cask today as my first ever investment. Ben was brilliant and made everything go as smooth as possible, no trouble or doubts with buying from London Cask Traders. Will definitely be buying more in the future.
Great team, especially Billy Daly and Alice. I had lots of reservations about Whisky investment. Yes at the higher end, big name whisky brands, big money its a proven investment. However down at the £3-15k end not so much certainty. Took a 'punt' and bought a number of casks in 2023. Bought one at £7.5k and just sold for £10k so pretty good profit for just under 2 years.
I bought my first cask today with the friendly and professional help of Omar and the team at London Cask Traders. The whole experience was relaxed with no pressure selling or urgency. If you are considering investing in Whiskey then you cannot ask for a better service than the one LCT provides, I highly recommend them.
Excellent customer services from all staff and a massive thanks to louis whom first called and convinced me to invest in their company (lol) London Cask Traders he was very honest and friendly throughout the process, he explained everything I needed to know aswel as answering any of my queries, he's got great customer skills also thanks to Alice & Daniel who helped with my puchasing and setting up processes etc,

Brilliant experience with London Cask Traders on both occasions! Their strong communication and expert knowledge made the process seamless. Lyndon and Daniel explained the whole investment process in depth, sharing market insights and ensuring confidence In the investment. I bought my first cask over two years ago, which is now up ~25% in value, and I’ve just purchased my second. Excited for what’s next!

Originally contacted Mark last year, but wanted to pay my tax bill first. Finally decided to invest in April 25 and am now the proud owner of a cask of 2024 Ardmore. Whole experience was very professional and pain free, I am in possession of all documents proving my cask ownership. I fully intend to visit the bonded warehouse to visit my barrel and possibly also the Ardmore Distillery (purely for research purposes of course :) ) Looking forward to watching my investment mature. Highly recommended - thanks Mark and the Team Visited the guys in the new Waterloo offices, fab view over London. Rick and Mark made me very welcome and explained the need for patience while cask delivery was organised. Looking forward to visiting again when the whisky bar is installed 😁🥃 Update: Attended a wonderful whisky tasting dinner with Oliver and the other guys hosted at Melody's Whisky Bar and Restaurant in West London. What an excellent and informative evening! We tasted several rare whiskies and were given very entertaining talks and tasting instruction. LCT are the best! Many thanks
As a first-time investor, I had an excellent experience with Mark at London Cask Traders last October. Mark was knowledgeable, patient, and never pushy—he took the time to explain everything clearly and helped me feel confident in my investment. The process was smooth, with clear documentation and easy access to a client portal where I can track my casks details. Knowing my casks are fully insured and securely stored in an HMRC-bonded warehouse adds real peace of mind. I started knowing very little about whisky investment, but Mark made the learning curve straightforward and enjoyable. I feel confident about the long-term potential thanks to Mark’s honest guidance—no unrealistic promises, just clear facts. Even after the purchase, Mark and the Team has been responsive and supportive. Thank you, Mark—highly recommended to anyone starting out with whisky cask investing.
Fantastic company. Unfortunately I had to sell my two casks after 2 years due to unforeseen circumstances. Mark talked me through the options and told me exactly what was what. During a stressful time of moving country mark made a small part of it stress free
First-time investor. I reached out to London Cask Traders (LCT) for some info on investments; how, why, when, this was not some cold-calling asking for my money. I was put through to Marty, who took me through the whole process, explaining the pros, cons, and why it would be a good investment. I put him through 10s of questions, which he answered with ease and thoroughly, clearly and master of his trade. He has kept me updated with the recent ongoings within the whisky investment trade, and I am pleased I will be dealing with him in the future. I am now a happy owner of some fine whisky, and very much looking forward to seeing what happens in the future. Thank you.

Scam, nothing more than a scam. Beware!
I am a first-time investor and my experience with London Cask Traders has been excellent so far. My contact Ross Davis was polite, professional, very knowledgeable and had no problem in answering any of my questions and issues. I look forward to investing in whisky again in the future and will definitely contact Ross again. Would highly recommend London Cask Traders
Marty and the team are superb. End to end are easy to deal with and ask any questions. They treat you like valuable customers even if you decide not to do anything. Would recommend to use them to anyone.
Everybody at London cask traders was very knowledgeable and helpful. The whole process was made very easy and straight forward. I am now the happy owner of 7 casks which have arrived at their storage location in Glenrothes. Excited to see where they will be in the years to come.

Great experience from purchase to delivery order
Highly recommend London Cask Traders. Mark and the Team have been brilliant from the start. As this was our first Whisky cask investment, we took time with the Due diligence and they didn't put any pressure on us to make a decision. In the end, we went for an Ardmore Cask and will explore more in the future. They have also been very responsive and reassuring at times when other Whisky Traders have been in the news for the wrong reasons. Great service.
I did some checks before I invested in you , ie rang LCT and asked to speak to certain people I’d spoken to . And they were there . The process of buying and conformation of purchase seemed long and drawn out and I had some concerns of a genuine purchase . It seems it’s all good now and I’m happy I own a barrel of Ardmore whisky.
