"I've written a review before on Office Timeline (now Lucen) and again it's incredibly frustrating to find features that I use now as part of my Plus plan will no longer be available to me when I eventually update the software. Whilst the software is useful, improvements have been made throught with improved UI etc, responsive customer service. I can't really fault these things, but the constant diminishing of features being hidden behind the most expensive plan is annoying. First, excel refresh was taken and hidden behind the top tier and now I find other features have moved behind the most expensive tier - the project performance tracking features which overlay progress bars and I've only noticed this as it's due time for my renewal. Please don't make this about to improve customer experience, you've noted down which features people use and have hidden them behind the top tier."

"Pure crap. there is no sync between the Powerpoint plug-in and the web app, plus you can't import Powerpoint. So you have to export to excel, then import to the web version. The expert version is so slow it's completely un-useable. Unless all users are premium you get a water mark on the web app, and unfortunately even once all users are premium you can't remove it without completely rebuilding the project. Lucen obviously has put more time in to monetizing the product than making sure it remains a value added product."

"Office Timeline is an excellent tool for producing visually compelling timelines and plans. The presentation capabilities are the strongest suit of this PowerPoint Add-On. It is a valuable tool but does take some time to learn how to operate in order to generate the display qualities that you desire. One major limitation which should be understood is the page sizing which is restricted by the MS PowerPoint page orientation / parameters."
"Once you get used to it, it is quite easy to use. it looks great for HL timelines. Only downfall is the amount of info that you can fit on a slide, which is a PowerPoint issue, not a timeline issue. Very happy over all."
"The templates are not user friendly. Also I find it difficult to move the plan towards the top once it's completed. I would just like to move the whole thing around without having to re-do the boxes and everything else. It quite time consuming."
"Download and setup was simple. I used Office Timeline at my previous job and have gotten use to the differences between editing an Office Timeline slide and a regular PowerPoint slide. Once you are comfortable with that it is a breeze to setup and maintain. I love the new features, with actual vs. planned and the timeline edit is much improved over a couple of years ago. Also, so many new templates to choose from. My co-workers at my new job are very impressed with the professional timelines I am able to produce."

"The Edit timeline feature is actually so good. you drag things around and the dates just... update. dependencies follow along, you can see planned vs actual, critical path is right there. And you can add a new swimlane project directly on the timeline which sounds small but saves me every single day. not much else to say, it just works."
"I've mainly used the Smartsheet for tracking items/initiatives and the Office Timeline for the presentation part. Having them connected simplifies things and makes sense. I just pull it in and with a bit of time, tweaking the colors, formatting, and voilà the slides look right an ready to go.
