"I placed an order with store pickup because the item was advertised as being available for collection today. I specifically chose this option because I needed the item today. The entire day has now passed, and it is almost 8:00 PM. I have not received a pickup confirmation, any update on the status of my order, or a response from customer service. I contacted customer service multiple times throughout the day and sent several messages asking for clarification. Despite this, I received no reply whatsoever. What is most frustrating is not even the delay itself, but the complete lack of communication. If there is a problem with the order, customers should at least be informed. Advertising a specific pickup day and then providing neither the product nor any information about the order status is unacceptable. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend ordering from MediaMarkt if you are relying on the stated pickup date. I hope MediaMarkt will review this case and improve both its communication and customer service processes. Update: Since posting this review, the situation has become even more disappointing. After spending the entire advertised pickup day waiting for a collection confirmation that never arrived, I finally received an email at around 10:00 PM informing me that the item had only just been dispatched and would likely arrive in 1–2 days. This means the item was not even send yet, so it could be available for pickup on the day Media Markt announced. What is particularly frustrating is that I contacted customer service multiple times and sent three separate messages requesting clarification, yet received no response. Instead of addressing the issue, MediaMarkt's public response to this review asks me to send yet another email and repeat all the information I have already provided. As a customer, I should not have to repeatedly chase updates and resend the same complaint through different channels. Delays can happen, but poor communication and the lack of accountability are what have made this experience so disappointing. Update (25.06, 09:00), I still do not know when my order will actually be available for collection. I have contacted customer service multiple times: sent three separate messages regarding this issue. Despite this, I still have not received a clear explanation, an apology, or a confirmed pickup date. What should have been a simple order has now become a matter that has required repeated follow-up over four days. The most frustrating aspect is no longer the delay itself, but the lack of communication and transparency"

"I bought an apple iphone 13 on march 2023 by Media Markt and bought the apple care insurance (trade square). I dropped the Iphone and the camera behind crashed on july 2025. I contacted square trade for the repair. They told me it takes 20 days and they give no replacement/ back up phone during the waiting period. The other alternative they gave me last year, was to get a refurbished phone by the time I sent my phone to repair, same day. However i had to pay 100€ for it and had to wait at home for 2 days for the exchange. Since I have to work at the office I never found a good day to plan it last year. This year (yesterday) I called them again and decided to resume the process, by paying 100€ and getting a refurbished phone the same day. They said this option doesn’t exist and I had to send for repair for 5 to 7 days. Same thing, no back up phone is available for me during the period. This is no option for someone who needs her phone every day. So I do not recommend this service. Is useless."

"I was looking online for a washmachine and found what I was looking for : Price 329 € ! After giving it a little consideration I wanted to order and suddnly the price was 689 € !!!!! "I ordered a NINJA air fryer from the MediaMarkt online store on 8 May 2026 and paid immediately by card. The confirmation promised delivery by 11 May, but my account has never shown more than “order received / in progress” – no tracking number, no carrier, no shipping confirmation. On 9 May I tried to cancel the order in every reasonable way: in person at a Berlin store, via several emails, and via a German‑speaking caller on my behalf. From that day onward I made it explicit that I did not want the product at all, only a prompt refund. Despite this, customer service kept sending the same standard messages about “refusing delivery” or “creating a return label”, which simply don’t fit a case where nothing has ever been delivered and there is no proof of dispatch. At one point an agent claimed the item had already been shipped and could no longer be cancelled, but still could not provide a tracking ID, courier name or any verifiable shipping details. As of writing, I have neither the product nor a confirmed refund, just a series of template replies that ignore my clear cancellation and my refusal of delivery. The whole process makes the online shop look disorganised and unprofessional: no working cancellation path, no transparent shipping information, and a support script that doesn’t engage with what the customer actually says. I am now having to resolve this through my payment provider, and based on this experience I would strongly caution others against relying on MediaMarkt’s online store for important purchases."

I had a delivery issue with the latest delivery and I reached out to Customer Service. "On 12.04.2026 I ordered a smartphone called “Doogee” from MediaMarkt Germany but the seller is Digiciel.When i received the Order,it was a breach of privacy for me because every unwanted individual can easily have access to my Simcard.I can’t use the phone where children are because even children can take away the Simcard.That same night i wrote an Email to the seller explaining the situation to them and asking them how I will return the phone back.They replied the next day that i should do a video of what i mean,which I did the same day and sent to them.They gave me the address for the return and i returned the smartphone to them.They have received the smartphone but they haven’t paid back the sum of 249,99Euro which I paid for the smartphone.I have written to MediaMarkt many times about the issue but no response. "Absolutely useless, I desperately wanted to buy a Nikon D850, a camera that has been on my wish list for years, I saw a great deal with a very attractive payment plan online, I filled everything in, did everything correctly, I was well within the criteria for the plan and yet every single time I tried to complete the purchase I got this error message at the bottom of the screen, every single time it wouldn't go through! I contacted, via email, the "customer service" team and they were the most, lazy, useless, unhelpful bunch of uncaring, indifferent idiots I have ever encountered. I was asked for screenshots I sent them, they wanted more info I provided it, yet the offer expires on the 5th May and every reply I got was "Try again later" "Just go to a store and buy it there" "Blah!"
