Opened a new account with very friendly associate. Being older, I needed some help with connecting online. I returned to branch and the associate took a large amount of time to help me. They are very helpful and considerate.
Easiest loan I have ever received. I filled out a form online, hit enter, and was told to pick the check up the next day at a branch! It was the best interest rate of three places that I checked by more than 0.25%. I was able to mail the check to the dealership to pay for the car. The other credit union required that it be signed in person at the dealership which required a 3-hour drive. Thrilled with Navy Federal Credit Union Auto Loan!!
The purpose for opening the account was because of the offer to consolidate debt with a pre approved loan or credit line to transfer our balances over. Once account wasopen the credit/loan was denied . Both my wife and my credit scores are fair and continuing to improve, and our current payment history is great, however our income would be better used on a lower interest . We were very disappointed we were not approved
A typical refi would take 45 days this had taken over several months with three or four different adjusters. The entire process was unorganized, repetitive, and a waste of time.
A+++ trust professionalism
It took 4 months to do a refinance from a Construction loan. They asked for the same information multiple times due to the fact it was taking so long. Asking for things at the last minute that took time to get instead of asking for everything in the very beginning. It costed us thousands of wasted dollars in interest on the construction loan when it should have taken 30-45 days to close.
Process is tedious, takes 6 weeks to complete. With decent credit scores and documents you request provided the same day, seems like alot of foot dragging.
Their inability to provide feedback on sells apps. Don’t do zell even though it’s listed it is not verified. It its members at a disadvantage. You can stop psyment before and after the transactions. You have to learn the hard way since navy accepts no responsibility for transactions. I am highly pissed off
I've dealt with Navy on several Mortgage loans. Navy used to be my 1st choice but my recent loan experience was so horrible that I have to think really hard about doing business with Navy again. I had issues through out the entire loan process and am still having issues and my loan closed on 9/23.
Navy Federal is very easy to understand and work with.

The biggest problem with Navy Federal is they don't permit you to set up automatic payments each month in full from an EXTERNAL account. So you either have to manually pay your bill each month or you have to park sufficient money at NFCU earning 0.01% when you can be earning 4% elsewhere
