They would call me and ask to verify my account with social security and account numbers and I told them they must be con artists. No one should give that info to strangers who call you. Thought it was a scam, turns out it wasn't. Then went into bank and had it taken care of. They knew me there. They wanted to know where my money comes from. My business, the same for the last 27.5 yrs, 14 of which was with PNC bank. Apparently they didn't believe me and closed my accounts and credit cards and my whole life. I am a realtor and apartment building owner. I have never been so abused and insulted in my entire life. I will tell this story in more detail for the rest of my life. Do not use PNC. They are horrible for business owners and all other people. I am a dad, no criminal record or issues ever. Anywhere on earth.

Three tears after closing on a HELOC they email me and demand a new Declarations page. Which I send and they deny THREE TIMES. They just send an email that says. Document is WRONG. Fix it. The most unorganized, arrogant group of individuals.

I went to PNC bank with a POA for my Mom's account to add myself as POA and to be added in order to pay for funeral arrangements at a later date, I was scheduled for an appointment, I provided all necessary paperwork, I was told by the bank worker that it was all set, my Mom passed away on Friday, on Monday I called the bank to make sure all was good to write a check for the funeral services, I was told that I was not listed on the account as POA and my name was not added to the account. I have been informed that it can not be corrected because my Mom is deceased and unable to sign paperwork, obviously someone at PNC didn't do their job, and we get to pay for their mistakes. Do better PNC.

I switched banks back in August. This bank is no better than the other bank I was with. About 10 days ago I needed to call the customer service #. It was around 7pm on a Saturday. Big surprise to me. They're not open. How could a bank not have a call center open for night's and weekends? Today (9/27/25) I logged into my online acct and Im in the negative. Not too sure how that could be. But Im scrolling through the charges and what kind of bank posts debits before credits? Fri the 26th I did an instant transfer from cash app outside the only bank location in my area, I went in to do a withdraw as the amount was over my daily atm limit. If I didnt have those funds I would not have been able to withdraw the money. The instant transfer is still pending when it should have been posted before any debits. So now I will have over draft fees to pay for because this bank doesnt know how to do banking. This isnt the only issue I have with this useless bank. When I signed up online it said a $400 sign up bonus. Im not getting the sign up bonus because there wasnt anything for me to click on to get the bonus. Unlock they cant see Im a customer. So why wouldnt you give me the new customer sign up credit? It the only reason why I switched to this bank instead of a better bank. Lesson learned. Do research before you go with a new bank. I didnt do enough.

I am extremely disappointed with the lack of compassion and inconsistency at this PNC branch. A 96-year-old client was trying to close an account, yet instead of making the process simple and stress-free, the branch made it unnecessarily difficult and burdensome. They refused to waive a $33 stop payment fee, claiming they were “unable” to do so. This is especially frustrating since another PNC branch waived the same fee without any issue or hesitation. It’s unacceptable that a bank of this size and reputation does not prioritize the best interest of its clients—particularly elderly ones who deserve understanding and support, not red tape and resistance. The inconsistency between branches shows a lack of clear customer service standards, and this kind of treatment creates unnecessary hardship. I expected better from PNC.

The worst bank in the country! A bank of liars, thieves and dishonest people!! I felt robbed of my monies each month, the funds going in was always over drafted and not equal to the deposits made each month!! Where did my funds go?? Customer Service is a dead horse in this horrible bank, the tellers and managers are trained to rob you of your funds and tell you they were over draft due to monies not deposited as I deposited them. I closed out the account and I'm still contemplating Sueing . Refunds never appeared when I was given a refund by a company. Please FDIC shutter the doors on this joke of a banking institution.

My experience with PNC was truly TERRIBLE! I was in the mortgage loan process over almost 4 months with them and almost lost my home. Luckily I switched to a GOOD bank and my mortgage loan approval process went smoothly. No issues. No hiccups. It goes to show that the issues was with PNC and the employees that work there that didn’t know what they were doing. I will warn everyone I can. PLEASE DO NOT GO THROUGH THIS BANK FOR A MORTGAGE LOAN!!!

Placed a $10 bet on Fanduel with my VISA creditcard and PNC (and some other credit cards apparently) automatically treated it as a CASH ADVANCE and charged me another $10 cash advance fee PLUS another $1.50 interest! The only remedy was to SET MY VISA CASH ADVANCE LIMIT TO ZERO to make sure that can not ever happen again. I have automatically paid in full every month for years - this is an unfair greedy policy, especially on such small bets.

I had an extremely frustrating experience with PNC Bank. I called to pay off an account and gave all of the required information for verification (typical process so nothing new). After providing the information for authentication, I was then told they couldn't verify me. After wasting my time and effort I simply told the representative that I was just going to do it myself online. If you want something done in these modern times then you have to do it yourself, i guess. If a bank cannot securely and efficiently handle something as simple as paying off an account (even after verifying I am who i say I am) that's a huge problem. It should NOT be this difficult to resolve.

I mail in my payments to my Electric Co, Auto Loan pmnt, Discover card & PNC. ALL take approximately 3-5 days to clear my bank. ONLY PNC payments are speratically applied to my account. The check clears my bank anywhere from 6-16 days. They "claim" it is the mail. Since it Only happens with PNC, I suspect it is 'Their' mail room holding up my payments. This month, now on day 16, they are charging Me $27 late fee. On top of that, I disputed a $1.50 fee last month and was told they were charging this fee each month wrongly. I did get a whole $9 reimbursement on that one. I will send my payment with the "shredded" card included!!! Worst Service Ever!

I use PNC online banking to pay bills. Last month PNC issued checks to 2 vendors and both checks arrived late. It resulted in 1 late fee and 2 interest charges. Also the possibility of a ding on my credit report. PNC created a case with the dispute and determined no error occurred. Several phone calls with CS resulted with the same answer. They were not accountable. One of the reps I spoke with used the US mail as an excuse for the late payments. I had a supervisor follow up with me and will not return my calls.

Website is horrible. It looks like something out of the 1990s and is difficult to navigate and do things on. Example, they used to have 2 columns , one for payments and one for deposits they now put both items in the same column and the only way you can tell the difference is to look at a tiny + or - symbol. It is so hard to look for deposits which used to be easy. I am now looking at Fifth Third or US Bank to see if their websites are better so I can change banks.

The worst bank ever. Multiple issues don't know where to start. Let's start with me initiating a transfer from a checking account to pay my mortgage with the same bank, the transfer shows as a debit on the checking account side and does not show at all on the mortgage side! Wow, really!?

This bank steals from its clients. All transactions are taken out of the account at the exact moment we use our debit card, but then PNC shows same transactions as pending and deduct amounts from account again once deposits hit. I have lost hundreds of dollars

I applied for a home equity loan with them and I was not disappointed that I didn't get the loan was more disappointed that no one ever contacted me to let me I didn't when I called staff was not friendly or polite they just wasted my time after waiting over 45 days to hear back from them I finally contacted them and that is when I found out the decision they were never going to tell me just ran my credit and wasted my time and effort that's bad busines
