"I was charged for an automatic renewal that I was not expecting and never received a renewal reminder before the charge was processed. As soon as I discovered the charge, I contacted QuillBot and explained that I was traveling internationally at the time, had not received any renewal notice, and had not used the service since renewal. Had I received a reminder, I would have canceled before being charged. What disappointed me was not just the refund denial, but the way the issue was handled. Every response pointed back to company policy, while my central question remained unanswered: Was a renewal reminder actually sent to my account, and if so, when? Despite asking multiple times, QuillBot never provided a direct answer. Instead, I received repeated policy-based responses and was told that no exceptions would be considered. Companies have every right to establish refund policies. Customers also have a right to expect transparency when asking whether notice of a renewal was provided before a charge was made. Tharini, from the support team was polite, but politeness alone is not customer service. When a customer raises a legitimate concern and asks a straightforward question, that question should be answered. Unfortunately, this experience left me feeling that policy mattered more than fairness, transparency, or customer retention. Based on this, I can not recommend Quillbot."

"The Quillbot spellchecker is not reliable. It will ignore simple misspellings seemingly at random, sometimes even the very same paragraph where the same word is used and flagged. I raised this concern with support, and they strung me along for more than 2 weeks promising to resolve the issue. When I requested a refund, they closed the ticket and turned off my auto renew rather than actually respond to my request. I burned 4+ hours of my life trying to get this resolved. I didn't use any other tools provided by Quillbot. Only the spellchecker. Any professional relying on Quillbot for accuracy should tread carefully."

"Very disappointing experience. I paid for a yearly subscription and honestly feel it was a waste of money. The service did not perform as expected and did not provide the value I was promised. When I contacted support and asked to cancel, they refused to refund me and only cancelled the renewal for next year. It felt like they were happy to keep my money but not resolve my issue. I would not recommend this service. Save your money and look elsewhere."
