Since 1998 i am holding SC credit card, now almost 27 years as member. But last one year i am facing my card account disable / enable cycles. Now already my card disabled without informing any proper reason. Customer service not helpful in this matter. UAE standard chartered bank, please let me inform exact reason for this enabling disabling game. MS Saifudeen
Very bad customer service . A lady calls me one day and asks me rudely why the payment was delayed . They offered no late payment fee however every month there was an interest charged . Hidden charges and nothing is clear their app also is not user friendly. Just not a good reliable bank .
Simply not good enough. Very unresponsive customer services staff and clearly a team that do not put their customers first.
The worst bank in Uae . And to top it off they hv the worst customer service. They are pathological liars. You want to open an account but you keep begging them as they are helping you. If even its the last bank in the world I would choose to keep my cash on me. They don't value customers at all. I don't recommend anyone ...its time wastage coz they don't care. 24hrs turns into 3 months ..wow..bravo stanchart!!!.

Dear All Alert Alert Alert If standard chartered bank is last bank of the world ill never suggested you.they are scamming and on installments they will make you hidden fine..on 100 aed you have to pay 2k .they will not let you know and when fine will generate they will call you.
One of the most incompetent banks in existence. The products are mediocre and once they contact you take necessary documents and run a credit check and later inform you that you qualify for the product only to receive a text message stating " it doesnt meet the internal policy" and terminate the application, you are left to wonder what in the word just happened. Wasted a good 15 days of my life with this crap. On the contrary, im so glad i didnt become one of their customers.
Registered to open a salary account but the allocated service agent in Dubai keeps giving me excuses that they are busy and eventually refused to pick my calls. 5 days later no feedback nor followup. Gave up decided to proceed and open EMirates NBD A/C. Two days later account active with debit card being delivered. Either SCB don't want new customers or they have recless employees who cost the company reputation and bad customer/ potential customer experience. Three accounts: mine, my brothers, and my wife's all three business happily transferred to NBD who care about their customers
I don't recommend for any tourist willing to come to uae to use this bank ATM for cash withdrawal. On my arrival in dubai Airport i used this bank ATM, the money has been taken from my account without getting cash (it was mentioned that something went wrong please call this number....). I already call the customer services and went to the bank ,no one of their personal can handle my request. Until now I didn't get my money back
Am facing issue to open Mobile app login to active my ATM card..I have generated my TIN twice time and call at help line 3 times but I have not received any answer from SC end..I also raised my issue on (complain resolution) I have sent emails reminder but no one bother me...because I have an account in Standard chartered. Pathetic service as I have ever seen...am SC Customer since 2016 but I just open my account in SC UAE but am not able to active my ATM card due to am not able to login APP...currently am facing financial issues and getting money from my close once and my bank is not consider my issue.I have no words..
Standard chartered bank in London are amacingly bad. Working with Letter of credits as a customer I have never had so unproffesional experience. Even our Danish bank are amazed and is taken the service to higher levels. Either they do not understand the concept of a LC and what is requested or they simply just want to make life hard for every one. It is hard with few sentences to describe but happy that our customer and manufacturer agree never to use this bank again.
My initial account opening experience with SBC UAE has been fairly decent, they need to pay catch up to the crypto banks, but still not bad. Considering they didn't exit Pakistan like Citi or HSBC.
I had the worst banking experience in my life with Standard Chartered HK (and I am not over dramatic). Their banking system is like from 80ties and it looks they didn't realise yet that Internet does exist. If you want to do anything they will print a form and fill it with the data from the computer screen in front of them and send it with traditional post. E-mail? Don't know. It takes 30 days for their customer service to reply for an email. In the branch you have to wait ages and if you finally find someone to help you they actually cannot do anything. You have to fill all the forms and wait long time to process the simplest tasks. My favourite is a phone call from a bank asking me for my telephone number 😂 Useless.
Even in this digital age and trying times of a Global Pandemic, they insist you risk your life by visiting their branch for a simple address update. What a shame and complete waste of a bank. Absolutely incompetent in these current times due to lack of technology updates.
Customer service needs some retraining as their telephone manner leaves a lot to be desired if you ask me. I don't have too many qualms with the company but just think the customer care needs to be improved
Very disappointing experience. They kept me waiting for 2 weeks and didn't release our fund. I have been calling them more than 10 times a day for two weeks and everytime they told me it will be resolved in an hours and they will call us back. They never called me back. Also, if you think they are going to reply to your emails, good luck with that one.
I was working for Standard Chartered China in Year 2016. I enjoy the working environment there. Now I'm moving to London and still looking for the opportunity from SC.
bad experience with Standard Chartered Hong Kong Bank. We had an international wire from customer as usual, and this bank neither credit to our account nor return to customer, and no message from this bank to both ends, the money just like disappeared from this earth. After customer's bank's request, this HK bank replied they held this money for some reason, it was eight days passed! Then we made wire amendment, now it was five days more, we are still waiting. I wish this Hong Kong bank could have basic human sense, its for our staff work pay and daily operating, in urgently need and you Standard Chartered HK bank will not act like cold blood animal!
