"Horrible experience with Shweta Jain, she was working against me instead of helping me. Someone used my card without my consent and there are fraudulent charges on my account. She’s making this experience hard for me to report. I am very disappointed in my interaction with her. She needs to be more kind and understanding with customers"

"I don't even want to give them 1 star. The most pathetic free online banking system. To get e-transfer or verification codes, you have to wait more than 30 minutes. This is crazy."
"I called the bank because I was locked out of my account, and the representative was talking like she was annoyed with me and like I was wasting her time. These people act like they're not being paid. So unpleasant."

"So far is good but im choosing to go to td bank"
"Its a horrible bank. CIBC stepchild. They reversed 2 large legit bill payments as bill correction. Never sent me email or text. I happened to log on again as i m anal and was horrified. i called them and i got atittude. Forced them to give me $50 goodwill. Honestly not worth the time and effort chasing them."

"I would have to recommend nobody ever use this Bank I made a simple request to withdraw $1,000 to go pay off fines and apparently they force you to wait 6 months before you can withdraw your own money at rates over $200 per 24 hours there are a hundred different banks in this world that can facilitate this when they can't do a simple thing as change a withdrawal amount highly recommend you use a proper institution sure you might have to pay $67 in an account fee but at least then you can actually have the right to withdraw change the things you need because you're paying they are completely holding money hostage against people because they're spending more than they can put back an accounts"

"I have been assigned a POA (Power of Attorney) for my injured friend. I had all documentation from lawyer fully notorized. Tyring to pay some bills for my friend was a NIGHTMARE! As everything is online, there is no one to visit to provide my documents - everything is via snail mail - then had to go to Canada Post and verify myself! Only after about three weeks was I authorized to pay a bill....but only after calling in each time - I was not "authorized" to have online access. My advice : "Do not deal with online banks"! They might work for most regular transactions, but if you ever you get hurt and leave administration of your estate to your family - they will hate you for it!"
"Been with these guys sence they started out. Went today to use my new debit card as my old one needed replacement, and wouldn't you know it can't use the damn card. Can't call customer service as it wont accept my card. Im done and going to get another bank account. Figure I'll leave this here so ant new customers can see how they treat loyal customers."

"When I signed up for my High Interest Savings account, I ran into a few difficulties that I inadvertently caused. So I called the bank and spoke with Jose (JJ8093) who was wonderfully patient and efficient, highly knowledgeable, kind and respectful. He solved all the problems I caused and clearly explained several alternatives for funding my new account. I highly recommend this bank which offered an exceptional introductory savings interest rate. Excellent customer service."

"I’ve had to replace my debit card more than three times in the past year due to repeated fraud alerts on my account. While I appreciate that fraud detection is important, the process of constantly getting a new card is exhausting, disruptive, and time-consuming. What’s been most disappointing is the way this situation has been handled by customer service. Instead of showing understanding or working collaboratively to identify the issue, I’ve repeatedly been told that I must have shared my information or failed to protect it properly. That assumption feels dismissive and unfair, especially given how careful I am with my personal and financial details. At this point, I’m looking for accountability and a more supportive approach. Repeated incidents like this suggest there may be a larger issue that hasn’t been addressed, and customers shouldn’t feel blamed when they are the ones impacted. I would strongly encourage this institution to improve both its fraud resolution process and the way it communicates with customers dealing with these situations."

"Trying to update the mailing address on my elderly mom's account has become an unnecessary long drawn out and a very frustrating experience. We are now at the point where we just want the account closed and this too is proving to be very difficult. Simplii, close the account, is this too much to ask; obviously it is!"

"I was debanked after a 20 year relationship (Previously PC Financial). This all started after I didnt want to use their new Debit Mastercard to replace my current Debit card. They are not secure since you wouldn't be protected if someone stole your info and placed purchases online. This has happened to 3 of my friends also with Simplii. I bring this up and the rep tells me im just being dramatic. The representative had some very harsh terms she used and then I filed a complaint with Cient Care. A Shawn Brignolio contacts me and from the start you could tell he didn't care about anything. VERY BIASED man (if you want to call him a man). He started literally swearing at me then hung up when I was trying to de-escalate. A few days later I got a email claiming I was being debanked. 20 year history with this banking institution. Never a problem but now because of some delusions of grandeur, I have to find another bank and nothing happens to him. F SIMPLII and CIBC! Go elsewhere if you want to be respected."
"They put a hold on my account and they are refusing to charge my number just because I can't go to the bank I've told them that they put a hold on my account until Wednesday"
"I am in Australia and completely locked out of my account, their helplines are all closed or do not go through, that chat tells me to go through the help line and even after i tell them it doesn't work they tell me to download google voice (not available in australia) and before i can reply they end the chat even though i didn't say the problem was solved."
"They had a bonus promotion offer. I fulfilled all their requirements and never received my bonus. Their customer service portal is terrible. I got disconnected like 10 times before reaching an agent. They then took 5 business days to escalate to a manager. Turns out I had to manually accept the offer before fulfilling the requirements or something. I go back and check the offer, THERE IS NO BUTTON TO MANUALLY ACCEPT THE OFFER. No where in the promotional script does it indicate manually accepting an offer as part of the requirements. And in no way is this standard procedure for any financial institution. Now we have to wait another 2-3 business days for them to escalate it again. All for a basic bonus promotion. Legit brain dead company I'm surprised they have more than 2 stars."

"I have 3 accounts and have been using for a 6+ years. Only use customer service about 1/yr and everything fine. Online banking and cost is excellent."

"fix 0004 code what bank doesnt let you log in as much as you want? so dumb."
"Not a reliable card. I have overdraft on my account yes a service I pay for. Yesterday I got a new card in the mail as the one I have expires. They placed my card on hold because of this overdraft. So tell me...what's the point or how is a customer supposed to trust this supposed overdraft when you pick and choose when I should be able to use it or not? Not a trustworthy or reliable service whatsoever. I will pay this small overdraft balance, and close my account. I am not interested in supporting companies like this."

"I have a very bad experience with them. I opened a simple chequing account with them few months ago. They deliberately checked my credit score, without my verbal or written consent,by which I lost my credit points in Equifax. Customer service representatives are stubborn and non cooperative. I warn everyone NEVER go for that institute without confirmation of credit checking option. I have closed account with them after loosing credit points and a long arguing with them."
"Simplii Financial is very difficult to log on if one is out of the country, upcoming transactions aren’t readily available on the app, one needs to use a computer Banking use to be easier with Simplii"
