"Just now fake and lying says u pay nothing and simultaneously asking for £40 for something or someone i have never spoke l, seen reviews about or even had any interaction with. Scam"
"Allows people to rate tutors even without ever having met or spoken to them. This means people are on the site with illegitimate reviews. When I asked CS about this I was told that's just how it works. Also Superprof incentivizes 5 star reviews on trustpilot with free subscriptions. This goes against the terms of the website."

"They advertised free test calls, but I was charged without even having booked a call. Edit: This company is absolutely not transparent, and the subscribtion is activated without the user knowledge and consent. I was offered no refund despite having immediately asked for it and not having made use of any service at all. This is going to be escalated through consumer protection if no full refund is issued within 14 days as required by law."
"WARNING, MASSIVE SCAM - they keep your credit card details and you can not delete even if you cancel. You have to cancel subscription, but to find this on your mobile phone you have to scroll down. No local tutors, pretty sure most are put in as dummy's to look good."

"Currently a Tutor on this website. After First tutors website shut down I very much appreciate a website that allows independent tutors a rare thing these days. I have gotten hundreds of profile views with only one request so far but I have only been there shortly. You are able to get recommendations from other platforms and reviews from people on the platform a very sensible system."

"1 star. Support is completely dead. I am a tutor based in Latvia. A student of mine purchased a 10-lesson package for 150 EUR. The money was taken from his bank account, but the payment is frozen on Superprof's end. The platform has a critical bug: it forces a "free lesson" status on all new bookings, even though the trial lesson was already completed. Because of this, we cannot schedule the paid lessons. Both the student and I have emailed their support multiple times. All our emails have been completely ignored. We also tried contacting them via Facebook — the message was left unread. The service has not been rendered. We are asking for a full refund, but there is no way to get any response. This is unacceptable."
"Very dangerous platform. First bare in mind that you need to pay for a student pass to actually use the platform (that is not always clear). Unfortunately I contacted a scammer through their platform. While of course it is my responsibility who I pay online, I got in touch with a scammer in the first place. This means that Superprof check up of service providers is faulty. So while I dont doubt that there are good profesionals in the website, get in touch with them very carefully as it is not clear how Superprof screens people."
"It was today the first interview to get to know each other and share our expectations. Our first impression is very positive and we are convinced that Jass will be an excellent teacher."
"Having entered my required "tutor search" criteria, which clearly stipulated "at-home tutoring" in my local area, I received quite a few profiles of potential tutors. I contacted one tutor, who accepted, at which point I was charge the $69 subscription fee. Upon further discussions with the tutor, it turns out that he had no intention of performing at-home tutoring, instead he asked me to travel 30 minutes to a major university, to which I told him what I thought of his time-wasting. I raised the issue with Superprof, but their AI response bot (Mia) just kept banging out the same response: "Once the tutor accepts your request, you get charged"."
"Please everyone should avoid this people it’s a scam they charged me £39 and immediately after I felt writhing me that these people may be scammers. It wasn’t even up to 2hrs but when I contacted them on email nothing was done. Most of the guys there who claim to be driving instructors are all scammers please avoid them"
"This website is scamming money. It offers to connect you with a tutor and says it needs a payment of £39 which will only be taken if the tutor accepts your lesson request. It is NOT clear that this payment starts a monthly subscription for a communication platform with tutors. The tutor in question accepted my lesson request then immeadiately told me that she was not available so £39 quid taken for zero!! I have contacted the company and they just keep saying the ‘student pass’ is non refundable. DIABOLICAL. Do not go anywhere near this company. In response to the below reply the tutor in question NEVER had any availability."
"I called out specifically that my daughter required an in-person tutor. No problem! I requested in person tutor over online. I included my home address in my initial messages. The tutors accepted even though they were quite literally thousands of km away from my house. In reaching out to superprof, they simply said they understand the tutor accepted knowing they were unable to deliver, but that superprof policies deem that they were in their rights to charge me and for me to 'keep trying'. I blanket sent out messages to tutors - all declined in-person as they don't live in the same city. BAIT & SWITCH. Their AI even said to me that it understood why I am angry as I was very clear in what I required and did not receive, but Superprof has a policy to NEVER refund once charged for any reason. Take that to heart. Their AI is PROGRAMMED to NEVER accept any reason for a refund.... Be very wary of these weasels."

"I offer tutoring in math and physic over superprof since a couple of years, and I get a good number of clients there, somewhat fluctuating within the year. What I like most is that clients pay via SP and I get the money as a monthly lump sum. Also, the support is fast and friendly. You can set your price and conditions as you see fit and can set up different ads for different services or types of client. I never had a serious problem. Refunds to clients for cancelled lessons work seamlessly. Also the reminder messages help not to forget an upcoming lesson."

"Tried to cancel the subscription almost immediately as it didn't seem right to pay £39 up front without actually even speaking to a tutor. They completely disregard the consumer cooling off period and said that "as the tutor has accepted my request the service has been provided so I can't have a refund" They said I could prevent further monthly payments by cancelling my subscription on the dashboard but I couldn't see anyway to do this so I contacted my bank and told them about it and they have made sure no further payments will go out. I then spotted on the dashboard that my request from the tutor was "pending" and not accepted at all so I screenshot that and sent it to Superprof and they accepted that I can have a refund. A very long and tedious evening. I am sure all the emails were AI as they just go round in circles telling you the same thing. Complete scam - don't go there!"

"Avoid this platform at all costs. I paid the initial £39 registration fee. My daughter scheduled a tutor on a remote basis. She rushed home from school, tidied her bedroom and set up her work station. The tutor did not show. We canceled the subscription straight away and contacted customer service for a refund. AI customer service but I manage to ask if a human could respond which they did today. They informed that despite it being disappointing that I will not be receiving a refund. Please don't throw your money down the drain like I have."
"I have and still enjoying tutoring on Superprof and recommended it to my sister, friends and colleagues. They are very quick to answer any questions, are professional and give relevant advice, leaving the enquiry open for further questions. Thank you Superprof Team."
"I made an enquiry but decided not to proceed. I noticed a few months later that I was being charged a monthly subscription . I did not receive any emails regarding this or as a receipt since informing them that I was not king to proceed. I contacted them and they have not apologised or offered any reimbursement. I feel utterly ripped off."
"They somehow charged me twice a month $49 for something service I never signed up for and never used. Frauds."
"The terms clearly state that the £39 monthly subscription only begins once a tutor has accepted your request and a booking has been made. In our case, requests to two tutors were rejected due to their locations, and no booking was ever made. Despite this, we were charged £39 per month for seven months, which we only discovered later. When we raised the issue and disputed the charges, the company refused to refund the full amount, despite the fact that the charges appeared to be contrary to their own stated terms and conditions. We have therefore been left with no option but to raise payment disputes with our bank and consider pursuing the outstanding amount through the Small Claims Court. Based on our experience, I would strongly advise others to avoid this company. The way this matter has been handled has been extremely disappointing and, in our view, highly unreasonable."

"I had a great first lesson! Tatiana was kind, patient and very professional. The lesson was engaging, well structures, and adapted to my level. I really enjoyed it and I’m looking forward to the next one!"
