"Like the value items at a supermarket- it looks good through the packaging but can sometimes let you down when you get past the exterior! I called the day before advising I needed a car urgently for the next day and liked a car that was on sale. Was advised the car was still available and ready for viewing so arranged an early morning appointment so not to miss out. On arriving at site I was advised the car was not on site or ready for sale as it needed MOTing and servicing but there was a similar vehicle available. I agreed to have a look and was shown around the car. After taking the car for a no more than half a mile test drive along a lovely, smooth A road I agreed to purchase. There was no movement on the price and due to needing a car for the next day I agreed to purchase. The 30 mile drive home was uneventful and so were the 20 miles local driving the next day. Unfortunately the issues began after this, I was advised during purchase that there was no warranty due to age and mileage although they would sell me an extended warranty which was refused. The car had failed it’s previous MOT and had been repaired on a very small budget and both MOT failure issues needed attention from a local mechanic to resolve the subpar repairs that had been done to pass the MOT. There were also lots of little issues that you don’t test on the test drive. The stop/start failed on day 2 of purchase, the air conditioning was not cold and required a recharge, the key fob boot release does not work (although boot unlocks when unlocking the car) the front left tire had a slow puncture and needed replacing and the USB port for charging and car play adapters does not work. Understandably, you realise that buying 2nd hand comes with issues and caution but the overall standard of this car was below what was expected and cost over 25% of the purchase price to put right. I would make sure that you take the time to inspect all of any cars purchased from here especially the “everyday” things you will be using and not just the “test drive” I will not be returning when 2nd hand cars are required by family and my only referrals will be to avoid this company if the car fall’s outside their 90 day warranty stock inventory"

"Really helpful and friendly"

"great cútomer service from start to finish, i would highly recommend for anyone looking for a new vehicle a special thank you to omar for his kindness and patience 👍 i will 100% be back in the future"
"This month sees 23 complaints with trading standards with 4 currently active against this company. Real fraudsters. I've currently spent £475 just to take them to small claims curt to recover my £7000. Do yourself a favour and look elsewhere."
"I bought a my first car from this place about a month ago and recently experienced some issues. However, they were resolved today and I’m very happy with the service I received. The manager, Adam, was extremely helpful, polite, and professional throughout the process. He took the time to answer all of my questions and made sure everything was sorted properly. Overall, I had a great experience, and this is definitely the place to go if you’re looking to buy your first car or want good customer service you can trust."

"Extremely unprofessional dealership with misleading vehicle presentation and very poor customer service. I visited this dealership last Sunday to inspect and test drive a 2019 Ford Focus after confirming availability over the phone the previous day. Unfortunately, the experience quickly became one of the worst dealership visits I have had. On arrival, there was no greeting or customer assistance for several minutes. Once approached, we were incorrectly told the vehicle had already been sold. Only after reminding staff about our phone conversation did they eventually locate the vehicle somewhere on their large forecourt. The general condition of the site was concerning. Many vehicles appeared neglected and dirty, covered in bird droppings, pollen, leaves and grime. The Ford Focus itself was also in poor cosmetic condition and clearly not prepared for viewing despite our appointment. The professionalism of the staff was extremely poor throughout the entire visit. The car was supposedly “prepared” for the test drive, yet they only cleaned the windscreen and ignored visibly underinflated tyres. During inspection and driving we discovered numerous issues including damaged interior trim, missing components, faulty driver assistance systems and signs of poor maintenance. More concerningly, one staff member openly stated he had lost his licence and was driving uninsured while demonstrating the vehicle. He drove aggressively and without wearing a seatbelt, creating a very uncomfortable and unsafe situation. Although the vehicle drove reasonably well mechanically, further inspection revealed obvious signs of previous accident repairs including a misaligned bonnet and damaged aftermarket-fitted headlight components. Despite this, staff continuously relied on “HPI clear” as if that alone dismissed visible evidence of repair work and damage. When concerns were raised professionally, the responses from staff were dismissive and unhelpful: “It is what it is.” “Don’t buy the car.” “Price is fixed.” At no point did anyone attempt to provide genuine customer service, reassurance or professional discussion. Staff frequently disappeared, ignored follow-up questions, and seemed more interested in socialising, eating ice lollies and revving cars around the forecourt than helping customers. The vehicle condition did not match the impression given in the advert, and the entire experience felt misleading and highly unprofessional. I left with serious concerns about the dealership’s standards, vehicle preparation processes and overall conduct. I would strongly recommend potential buyers inspect vehicles extremely carefully and not rely solely on online descriptions or “HPI clear” statements."

"PLEASE BE CAREFUL, I IGNORED THE BAD REVIEWS BEING HOPEFULL AND I PAYED THE PRICE. Shocking, car was listed in good condition with no issues. After spending £60 on travel I turn up to my appointment, the car hasn't been cleaned and is full of half drunk cans, the roof was mouldy and there was a warning on the dash as soon as you turn the car on. The footwell was also wet which is probably why it was mouldy. Wasted not only my time but my money as if any of this was in the listing I'd have avoided from the get go. The reg was NX64 HFT."
"Very good service provided by Omar. All questions that was asked have been answered . Big choice in cars especially automatics. Left with a car very happy."

"I visited United Yardley Motors recently as I was looking to buy my first car, so I was genuinely excited and serious about making a purchase. I had already done a soft finance check beforehand and was approved, so I came in ready to shortlist and move forward. Unfortunately, my experience was disappointing. The salesperson I spoke to, Omar, was not very helpful or engaging. I tried to explain that I’m not very knowledgeable about cars and would appreciate some guidance, but I didn’t receive much support. I was mostly told to check the details on the website rather than being properly assisted in person. The overall attitude felt quite serious and unwelcoming, which made me uncomfortable and took away from what should have been a positive experience. I work in sales myself, so I understand how important customer service is, especially when someone is making a big purchase like their first car. A more friendly, helpful, and approachable attitude would make a big difference. It’s disappointing to say this, but based on my experience, I wouldn’t consider returning"

"I would not recommend this place, I bought a car from them in January 2026 problem started 1 month after purchase - engine light came in on when I was driving up the hill ( now this is crucial piece of information). I contacted united traders to report the fault ( I had to go back and forth just to let them know I am dropping a car off!) - took me like 3 days. When I rang them to check if car is ready for collection I have been told that gentleman that „fixed „ the car is on lunch break and to give them a ring back in 30 mins which I have to find out the phone line is not working so I gave it a rest till next day. I rang and they said car is ready so my partner collected it and when asked to provide documents what’s been done they said they will send it over to my email (which they never done) so I emailed them 3 weeks ago and still no response. When collected the car engine light was not showing up but then another 3 weeks passed and I took the route I never normally take but took on the day that first Engine light showed up and then to my suprise engine light showed up at the same road it showed up first time (driving up the hill) . I purchased OBD reader to find out I have problem with turboboost - which now I know for sure they have not fixed and just erased the fault code with the reader! If I could post picture I would , but now with all the evidence I have got I have started process of getting Trading Standards involved as this is putting me at risk and other road users. AVOID"
"Bought a focus from here recently and wanted to hold off for a few weeks before writing a review incase any issues popped up. The car is amazing with no issues and Omar who helped us out was great when buying the car. Very helpful and communicative."
"If I could give 0 stars I would. I purchased the vehicle in October. The first issue occurred in November, and after a repair in December, the problem reoccurred in January. It took a month just to get the initial repair, and eventually I had to wait until March to receive my refund. Even then, the amount sent was incorrect, meaning I had to contact them again to chase the remaining money. Communication throughout the entire process was appalling. I sent 24 emails trying to resolve this issue and received only 13 replies, meaning I repeatedly had to chase for updates myself. I also made countless phone calls, and their lack of communication was so bad that I had to involve Citizens Advice and seek other legal guidance just to understand what was happening. Regarding the delivery fee, the company told me: “This is not something that we would refund.” This was incorrect, as under the Consumer Rights Act I was still within my rights to request a refund within six months of purchase. In relation to vehicle collection, they said: “The recovery that is taking place is chargeable as it is not on us as the seller to return the vehicle, but we have done so as a goodwill gesture.” This was also incorrect — once the vehicle was rejected, collection is the responsibility of the seller. During one phone call the receptionist, Salma, ended the call while I was still speaking. Abdul repeatedly failed to respond to emails, Adam made statements about resolving issues that were never followed through, and Abu told me the repair carried out would have a one-year warranty. I am still waiting for written confirmation of this warranty. Overall this entire experience has been extremely stressful, poorly handled, and dragged on for months unnecessarily. Based on my experience, I would strongly advise others to proceed with caution when dealing with this company. After months of chasing, wrong refunds, and empty promises, I wouldn’t trust this company with anything."
"STEER CLEAR OF THIS JOKE OF A COMPANY. DIABOLIC. LIARS. OBVIOUSLY WRITE THEIR OWN REVIEWS. WOULD GIVE THESE MINUS STARS IF AVAILABLE. STAFF NONE EXISTENT, IF YOU EVER DO GET THE PLEASURE TO SPEAK WITH ANYONE THEY ARE RUDE, WILL PUT PHONE DOWN ON YOU. AFTER SALES TEAM.....THERE ISN'T ANY! TOTAL LACK OF COMMUNICATION! YOU'LL HAVE A FIGHT ON YOUR HANDS TO GET YOUR MONEY BACK!!!"
"I bought a car from United Traders which was a very positive experience and unfortunately discovered my car had a faulty infotainment system which affected the operation of the radio, phone and satellite navigation system. I booked the car in with Abdul in After Sales and the system was changed without a quibble and I am now delighted with my car as the new system is working perfectly. I would not hesitate to recommend this dealership to anyone wanting to buy a car. All the staff are friendly, polite and helpful and the service is excellent."
"My father purchased a vehicle in January 2026, unfortunately a warning about oil pressure appeared shortly after. I contacted United Traders via email, and within two minutes, Abdul had called back. Within 24 hours, they collected the car, and in just 60 hours from reporting the issue, the oil pressure sensor and wet belt had been replaced. The service we received was exceptional. Abdul in aftersales was fantastic — always keeping us informed and following up after the car was returned. I would highly recommend United Traders"
"Definitely recommend united traders!! Hamza and omar were very helpful and made the whole process easy for me."
"Bought my car from United traders Omar sold me mine . Brilliant salesman not pushy gave us plenty of time to think about it"
"Cant thank the team enough. I’m a easily stressed person and I thought the car I had brought from here had some problems, there was no hesitation to take the car in and for them to look at it and to reassure me that everything is fine. There is is this lovely girl on the phone who was the most respectful and her customer skills was spot on."
"AVOID THESE DANGEROUS LIARS! Sold my elderly mother a dangerous car, accused her of causing the damage, falsified servicing document and refused to pay for repairs at her chosen garage."

"We were interested in a used car for sale via united traders website & arranged a viewing. My husband took the car for a test drive & on starting the vehicle the window wipers barely cleared the screen, the seller admitted they needed changing. Soon into the test drive my husband needed to break which appeared to be crunching when pressed however gave the benefit of the doubt thinking the car may have been stood a little while, however on further use of the brakes the crunching remained. My husband raised this & again the seller admitted the pads likely needed changing!!! Now this care has passed it MOT in September '25 but questions the validity of this given two basic safety features on the vehicle are in poor condition!!!! I had read some of the negative reviews on trust pilot & their own website but gave them the benefit of the doubt however its a NO from us. Do your homework people"
