"When I contacted Corebridge, I was informed that the duplicate premium charge had been cancelled in their system. However, despite this statement, my bank records show that I was charged twice for the same premium in the same month and no refund has been issued."

"My mother passed away, and my siblings and I submitted death claims on April 29. There are eight beneficiaries designated under the claim. Nevertheless, on April 30, Corebridge disbursed the full claim amount to only two of the eight beneficiaries. We first notified Corebridge of this error on May 3 and were incorrectly advised that all beneficiaries had been paid. I subsequently contacted the agent who established my mother’s annuity with Corebridge. He confirmed that there are eight beneficiaries and contacted Corebridge on our behalf. He worked with Don Mendoza, at which point Corebridge initiated an investigation into the matter. On May 22, the agent was informed by Shyra at Corebridge that Corebridge’s legal department had concluded that the claim had been improperly paid to only two beneficiaries, despite the existence of eight lawful beneficiaries. In a voicemail, Shyra further stated that Corebridge would contact the two individuals who had received the funds in error, recover those funds, and redistribute the proceeds equally among all eight beneficiaries. I have retained that voicemail; however, the telephone number provided by Shyra, 818-251-4967, is not in service or otherwise nonfunctional. I have also placed multiple calls to Don Mendoza and left several messages, none of which have been returned. Corebridge’s failure to timely correct this acknowledged error is deeply concerning and unacceptable. To date, my sisters have not been contacted regarding the return of the funds they received in error. Moreover, when we contact Corebridge at 800-445-7862, I am informed that I am not a beneficiary and therefore cannot obtain information regarding the claim. In addition, the two beneficiaries that received the payout have each contacted Corebridge seeking instructions for returning the funds, yet both were advised that their payments had been processed correctly. This matter has remained unresolved since April 29, and the continued lack of response and professionalism by Corebridge has caused significant frustration and concern. I respectfully request immediate contact and prompt resolution of this matter. A case number was originally assigned, then closed and subsequently reopened: 00250803. I possess the beneficiary documents completed by my mother and filed with Corebridge, which clearly identify all eight beneficiaries and provide that the proceeds are to be distributed equally among them. The agent also has copies of these documents and has made every reasonable effort to assist in resolving this issue. We respectfully request that Corebridge take immediate action to correct this improper disbursement and bring this matter to a lawful resolution."
"My mother passed in Jan 2026 and I submitted Corebridge Financial's required documents on March 12, 2026 and the information they indicate is not received, I provided via email and twice verbally over the phone, including today 6/2/26. This company is stalling to prevent payout of my mother's earned money. At every point in this process, I have had to reach out to Corebridge to obtain status. At no point, have they emailed, called or sent a letter to notify me of the progress of the claim. On most occasions, I have escalated to supervisor and they assure they will resolve w/in a couple of days. I never receive a call or reply to my inquiry. They are purposely withholding my mother's money. All of these reviews are correct. Please do NOT place your money w/Corebridge Financial."

"Corebridge Financial is an excellent publicly traded (NYSE: CRBG) services organization offering retirement plans, life insurance, annuities, as well as wealth management. Their spinoff from AIG, their IPO and restructuring, as well as responsiveness to customer needs is continually evolving. They offer agents ongoing training and support, and take feedback seriously. Whether you are investing in their products, or working as an independent agent, Corebridge is a solid partner in securing your future."
"My experience with Corebridge Financial has been beyond unacceptable. Insurance companies already have a reputation for delaying claims and hiding behind bureaucracy, but Corebridge has taken it to another level. After my mother passed away, I submitted their confusing five-page, fine-print Death Claim form in February 2026 as the sole trustee, along with every required document, and requested a full payout of her annuity. Her mandatory distributions immediately stopped, yet three months later I still have not received the funds. The claims process feels intentionally designed to create delays. We spent over a month going back and forth correcting portions of the form until I was finally told everything was complete, approved, and that I should expect a check within 10 days. That never happened. What they do not tell you is that the Claims Department will not contact you if there is another “issue.” You are expected to discover the delay yourself by repeatedly calling them. Conveniently, that means they continue holding — and profiting from — your money while you wait. Every time I called after the promised payment date, there was suddenly another excuse. Customer service representatives are extremely friendly, but nothing actually gets resolved. Supervisors are no different. I was repeatedly assured that my claim was “being processed” and promised callbacks that never came. When I requested direct communication with the Claims Department, I was told there is no way for customers to speak with them. At this point, I believe the process is intentionally obstructive and misleading. The company acts as though the money belongs to them and that beneficiaries are inconveniences rather than customers entitled to funds that are legally owed to them. I am done wasting time with excuses and will be contacting an attorney. If others are experiencing similar treatment from Corebridge Financial, I strongly encourage you to document everything and consider legal counsel as well."

"The website is horrific. Do not create an account online here. Says I have an account but then says I dont."
"Been trying to roll over my retirement account from Corebridge for past two months. They are experts at stall tactics. Customer Service gives you a different excuse each time you call. My patience has run out."

"I wish I could give a negative star! This is the worst company to deal with. If I was you, I would run fast from this place. They are the absolute worst. Ever since MARCH OF 2026 I’ve been trying to withdraw & not only never receiving the paperwork when I finally get the paperwork emailed & printed out, completing all the documents, they send one payment from one account & claim i didnt complete my second account is why i didnt receive the full amount. Then when they finally send the second account it was taxed well over the 25% so I was shorted 260 dollars on the 1014.00. This company need to be shut down burned down anything other than OPEN!! It’s horrible! So glad I no longer have to deal with these scammers. You will pay for what you do to PEOPLE! Good riddance!"
"I wish I could give negative stars! The most horrid customer service ever! Stall tactics, delays, hour long hold times, no call backs, supervisors seem to never be available to speak to, every person we speak to can’t answer the question, need this approval or that approval (not true-actually confirmed by one person we spoke to, but never called us back). Every monthly withdrawal and one time withdrawals are late. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! RUN FAR AWAY! The longer they stall, the more interest they make!"

"Please please read the reviews here...every word is true.i spent 2 MONTHS trying to transfer my wife's 403b out of here. I did the transfer after trying to get a simple answer regarding her 1st(required) withdrawal..NOONE COULD ANSWER THE SIMPLEST QUESTION ON THE PHONE..it occurred to me that i better remove all funds in case my wife pre deceases me..there's no way i'd ever get the $ out..it was a nightmare of excuses that took hours and hours to resolve..i finally wrote a well chosen email to Terri Fiedler the president of the retirement division who was helpful getting it done..but with pain and agony the whole way..start now and TRANSFER OUT."
"If there was a negative number I would give it. They are the worst company I have dealt with, and I have dealt with many. Every time I call they come up with a problem that delays my payment. And it is my own money that I’m taking a loan from, not theirs! And I was going to pay back my own money. Not very helpful, it’s like the current agent does not know what is going on with what has transpired previously. And every time I call it takes at least an hour on the phone to get an answer, which is usually “we will call you back if it has been approved “. The icing to the cake? They call me back at 5 in the morning! I have documentation with names of all my calls so they can’t deny anything. DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS COMPANY UNLESS YOU WISH TO TORTURE YOURSELF!"

"I did have an issue with them, after their customer service rep contacted me after initial review the policy was immediately in underwriting and paid out ..I'll give this customer service agent her due and she promptly fixed my issue ..thank you ..their other customer service ppl were not as helpful that's why I'm only doing a 3 star."
"Wish I could give a 0 star. Their website is absolutely terrible. I can never get on the website. It always says that my phone has been blocked from their website for whatever reason so I have to go on a private browser . And then just now when I logged in, I had absolutely no information under my account. Literally nothing was there.Their payment processing system is the worst. I haven’t had this life insurance policy for that long so I’m thinking I’m probably just gonna switch companies."
"Honestly just being able to talk to a person every time I called. From the beginning the initial process of filing the claim something I’ve never done was made easy for me during an already difficult situation. Everyone I spoke with was very helpful and clear on what to do and how to fill out the paperwork. What delayed the process was on my end the funeral home that was recommended to me was an awful experience so the death certificate took longer than expected but once i received it and submitted the paperwork it only took 7-10 business days for them to receive and review it and from that it only took days for me to receive our life insurance payment. Truly blessed that this process was pretty straightforward. Thank you Corbridge financial."
"The first time I tried to call customer service the agent pretended she couldn't hear me but coincidentally every time I pressed a 0 she said hello again but nothing had changed after 4 times of this I said Yeah I think you can hear me. She seemed panicked and hung up. Yup it was 5 minutes to 5pm. She probably just didn't want to take the call. The second time I called, agent did not escalate me to manager who had ability to forward my issue's process- total run around followed by a bill even though I said I never approved renewal nor received notice of auto renewal; she asked my address and I told her to tell me what address they had on file but she refused and wanted me to tell her. I could hear her keyboarding as soon as I told her. I suspect they had an old address and know I never received auto-renewal but she said they sent it. HOWEVER, I never received anything. She said it was not registered mail either. She said I would get 1 of 3 months back but I have yet to get any refund to my bank account. I requested 3 months refund and have not gotten anything back. The third time I called I was finally escalated to a manager who said he had capability to cancel policy and escalate even higher for review for full refund. He said my account showed as cancelled and it would take 2 days for review and 5 business days for a check with refund; a few minutes later he said it's 5-10 business days for review/check; a few minutes later he said it's 10 days for review/refund. A few days after that, I get a letter in the mail saying I have a payment due early May, literally after they deducted at the end of previous month!!! It all is very sketchy, unethical business practice & I am conferring with my attorney on legality. I demand my refund as I did not authorize an auto-renewal."
"The application and the process did not take long."
"Man I wish I would have read the reviews for AGL before investing over $20K over the last decade as a loyal customer with a company that may honestly, not even exist! The ONLY way they allow you to communicate with them is via fax (sketchy!), you can never get an answer or resolution - even when you "escalate" your call to a supervisor (sketchy!), every action or inaction on their side seems to be the fault of their anonymous "underwriting department" (SO sketchy!), and on top of the 30+ minute hold times to speak to a supervisor, I was hung up on three times! Thank god I didn't die with this plan, leaving my family members to deal with this ridiculous nightmare! If you're looking for insurance, look elsewhere...and if you already think you're covered - think again!"
