Very good except that after getting time slot confirmation and organising people to be at the house. I got a text saying a specific time much later. So I told people not to rush. On the delivery am I got a text at the very early time to say they were 10 mins away. Stressful.

Excellent delivery thank you. However when opening the packaging cardboard outer and plastic sheet membrane I noticed a water stain on the door. Fortunately I had some white undercoat with me as not too bad. My guess is this door experienced the water stain before being packaged in the factory. A small issue but, could have been costly to my small business. Thank you In all labour there is profit,

The purchase and delivery processes were easy and smooth. The goods (garden shed) were delivered on time - I was slightly concerned fornthe driver though, who had left Stoke on Trent at 4 a.m. to attempt delivery in Surrey at 7.30. Undue stress for him.

Can't believe I'm doing a second review of your ridiculous set up to try copy Amazon.. your second party supply is a joke. Now I tried to get a great companies product. I tried all the garden centres in my area. They all like yourself had none in stock. But tradepoint had exactly what i needed, so chose which store, ordered the product, went, To be told by B&Q Store not tradepoint, it's at leicester B&Q. Who work together, 1, how if your working together you don't know it's on the same site. And to ask customer service . Which is based in Africa, is a pointless thing for uk residents and option. If they don't gave a clue, what the f.. . Is the answer to any question. I started to respect you. After a few years of awful service and jn Store incompetence . Seems your taking a hundred steps back to stupid. Ridiculous.

Plymouth store. Let down badly on 3 deliveries. 2 were cancelled the other had damaged goods. Spoke to a very haughty female manager who said she had no control whatsoever regarding deliveries. The Manager clearly needs training and was just stringing me along. The latest no show excuse was put down to traffic despite them having to pass my address on their return back to the store. The irony is that I am being charged for delivery.

I ordered some items to be told they would arrive in 7 days, the items took over three weeks to arrive. No communication, until the delivery was ready to be sent, delivery driver communicated more than anyone, don’t order in a rush.

I bought the Cooke & Lewis CLCH60LKSS cooker hood without realizing it was made in England – if I had known, I definitely wouldn’t have bought it. Now I understand why I can only give it 2 stars. The first thing I noticed is the poor build quality. The sheet metal edges have been roughly sanded with coarse sandpaper, and this is very visible from the front. The aluminum grease filters already arrived bent with finger marks. They are so flimsy, barely thicker than cooking foil. I also don’t understand why the duct outlet is 150 mm. Most homes use 100 mm, maximum 125 mm. The price is way too high – I paid £100, while its real value is no more than £55. I would gladly uninstall it and ask for a refund, if the polite customer service team responding to reviews doesn’t object. For me, Cooke & Lewis, owned by B&Q, is a disappointment.

We bought a front door, which was described as a "door set" and when we came to fit it, there was only one handle. Couldn't get them on the phone so went to the store in person, an hour's round trip. Staff denied it came with handles at all. Despite the spec saying the handle was made from aluminium. After some arguing they gave us the handles but we had to buy a lock. The person in store gave us the wrong handles - it's a good job our door fitter knew how to make them fit. If this door really does come without handles you should clearly specify this, and also clearly state that you need to buy the lock separately. It is misleading to call it a "door set" when it is not!

Shocking product and the customer service wasn't much better! I purchased a tin of Premium Valspar Kitchen & Bathroom paint from the Chester store. I don't live in Chester but travelled there specially to pick up the paint as I wanted a specific colour. I booked a day off work to paint the kitchen. The paint was awful. It was FULL of bits which I had to pick out repeatedly as I went (despite being thoroughly mixed and using all new brushes and rollers...it was definitely the paint). I don't know if this was a defective batch, but customer service was about as much use as a chocolate teapot. Apparently they can't really help with anything if you purchased it in-store, and ask you to return it to the store to sort it out (I didn't have transport to do so and needed to complete painting that day). I went back and forth with them several times (each time a different person responded). They said they couldn't locate my account, but didn't ask for any proof of purchase, account details or ask me to send over the picture I had taken of the crap paint. Basically useless. I would suggest just paying the extra and getting a decent brand if you're tempted by Valspar Premium. They could have avoided a negative review by acknowledging the inconvenience caused and sending a small voucher or something - I didn't even ask for a full refund. But they didn't, so...here we are.

Product bought online and collected by someone else than me I recently bought some decorative vases to be collected next day but only when trying to collect from the shop near my place I was informed that I select to collect in another shop, miles away from my area. When I asked how to proceed, I was told that if I not collected the products, in 7 days I would receive the refund. My surprise was that the day after, when checking my B&Q account, I noticed that the product had been resolved as if someone had collected the product the day before. I went to the shop to complain about it and again was told to wait for the 7 days that I would be refunded and this did not happen. Not nice from a company like B&Q

Not a positive experience buying an item online via their verified seller marketplace. Was given a 2 day delivery window for 5/6 days after the order was made only to receive an email from b&q on day 6 telling me my order was cancelled & a refund would be made within the following 14 days. Rang b&q customer service who told me it was cancelled because the item wasn’t in stock. Never had any contact whatsoever from the seller. I guess they’ll have happily got the interest off my money before I get it repaid for an item that it took them 6 days to realise wasn’t in stock! Really? My first experience of using b&q marketplace & it will be my last. Sent an email to b&q airing my views & experience but they haven’t bothered to respond (yet!). Not a happy customer..

The shed I ordered on line was advertised as ' Klikstrom Senner 4x3ft Apex Metal Shed ' when it arrived it was Plastic !!! I contacted Customer Services about a return and refund , they firstly said if it could not be put back in its original packaging nicely they would not accept return!!!! Really!!! Luckily I only removed 1 item carefully so packaging was more than acceptable. I arranged a collection, which happened, 7 days later,no refund, contacted Customer service, suddenly there was an email in my inbox outlining the refund, but ,they put the collection date as the day I called Customer service 7 days after it was originally collected, so now I have to wait 14 days as a minimum for my refund of £210 ,not just 7 days from original collection date, My money in their account for as long as possible, probably with other refunds from others earning them money. How long would they have left it if I had not contacted them to push refund, Totally terrible experience and a way to do business, I now use Wickes mainly, poor show BQ.

We ordered tapered plasterboards on a Sunday to be delivered the following Friday, on the Thursday evening B and Q advised they didn’t have the tapered in stock and if we wanted normal square edge we would have to wait till Monday for delivery. We had tradesmen coming over that weekend so we had to rush and get plasterboard elsewhere and pay for it out of pocket as B and Q advised a refund would take up to 10 working days. Customer service does not exist with this company, we will be going out of our way to avoid them in future and will be advising everyone we know to do the same, travis Perkins are so much better.

Bought floor sealant online, but the website doesn't show the application instructions, so the stuff that was delivered was unsuitable and I had to take it back. Went in to take this back - first time in shop - and went to cashier who informed me that she couldn't do that as it was online, and had to go to online section of shop, I asked where it was and she huffed at me and said where did I think, and pointe to a corner of the store. I said I hadn't been here before and she answered "Well how did you buy it then?"... "Online" I said. So she huffed at me again and went on to serve another customer. The lady on the online orders desk was VERY helpful and kind, and apologies on behalf of B&Q for the mistake. Bought paint on that visit from a very dismissive expert who I asked for advice on what to paint, he reeled off a load of names at me and then walked off. I picked up said paint, and went back to him to check I had the right stuff, he glanced at it and said yes. Turns out I had picked up a paint base not a white paint, and had to return this to the same store the next day and get the right stuff. Incredibly unhelpful and petulant staff. Gone are the days when B&Q employed friendly competent staff that could help the DIYer get the right things. Back to Wickes unfortunately. Order Number: 4009300918
