"Note to start with the after care has been brilliant. Quick reply from the team and even did some video shorts to help. The level of vibration from the machine is low and ease of using pinned blades is top notch. I found it odd that the securing points on the base to fix to your bench on the right side as you look at the saw were covered up and do only one attachment can be made easily. The pinless blade attachments are dead easy to add a blade to but I found it very fiddly to then attach the bottom of the blade to the saw and when doing internal cuts even more difficult and as I lost one of the attachments in the body of the saw I removed the side panel (thanks to the team for that advice)I then left it off to access the bottom element. The instruction manual is pictures only and not very helpful for me and also the rotary tool is not even mentioned in the instructions so not totally sure how to use it. I received a very nice video but it only showed me hope to add an attachment to the rotary tool which I knew how to do but not hope to attach the tool to the saw. The foot operated on off is a dead man switch which is superb and makes it much safer. I know I have only given it three starts and I am only just getting used to it so if you are considering a scroll saw it would not be a bad buy but go into this with eyes open first and research more. I’ve got a lumberjack band saw I got from a show and think seeing the scroll saw first in operation would have made we think. But please do not knock the team for their care after you have bought this if you do. They’re great."

"I purchased a Lumberjack TS254SW 10" Portable Folding Table Saw in May 2026 for light DIY use. Initially, the saw seemed good value, and performed satisfactorily but I soon noticed issues with the blade not reliably holding 90 degrees and the riving knife needing repeated adjustment. After only limited use, after 5 weeks the saw suffered a serious failure during operation while the blade was rotating at speed. The bevel/angle locking mechanism broke, causing the blade to collapse sideways from the 90 degree position crashing onto the side of the throat plate, producing sparks and flying metal fragments, and the blade locking nut came loose from the arbor resulting in an unsecured blade wobbling wildly under full power. I identified what appeared to be a safety-critical washer-like component that provides the tension for the bevel locking mechanism, had snapped in two and I sent them a full and detailed incident report. Toolsave/Lumberjack later confirmed this as the initial cause. I had requested a full written inspection report but so far I have not received it, despite them having agreed to provide it. For me, this is a serious safety concern, not a minor defect, not a simple warranty repair. A safety-critical component associated with the angle-locking mechanism on a table saw should not fail after light use. I'm not satisfied with a broken washer being the explanation of the failure - I want to know what the root cause was, that is, why the washer failed. Was it a defective individual component, or does the same mechanism create a wider risk for all units of this model, or was I simply unlucky with the specific unit I had purchased? The customer-service experience has also been very poor. The saw was eventually collected for inspection after one and a half months. It was available for them to collect throughout but they insisted that it be returned in a box. I didn't have the original so I was required to construct a box myself. Toolsave/Lumberjack could not send me a box nor advise me on where I could source suitable packaging. They now claim to have repaired it but have not itemised the list of repairs carried out nor elaborated on the root cause. I repeatedly asked for the matter to be treated as a product-safety concern and for a proper inspection/repair report explaining why the washer failed, whether the replacement was like-for-like, whether related safety components were inspected, and why the repaired saw is now considered safe to use. If it was replaced like-for-like, I do not understand how that addresses whether the original part was adequate for its function, nor on what basis they have determined that this specific unit is now safe. Instead, I have only been told only that the saw has been repaired and is ready to return. That has not restored my confidence in the product. Given the nature of the failure, I do not feel comfortable accepting the repaired saw back. I requested, but they have not agreed to, a refund and have offered repair instead without informing me of the nature and extent of that repair. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this saw nor the after-sales support. The issue has felt like it was handled in a way that did not, in my view, reflect the seriousness of a reported product safety issue with potentially dangerous consequences which could affect all units alike. I was informed that this issue was never reported before and they appear to place weight on this fact in their response. Well, remember, Concorde only ever crashed once."
