"I decided one day I wanted to play tin whistle and bought a cheap 10 dollar and after learning a basic song found McNeela and ordered a wild Irish high D tin whistle and started using the free lessons. I'm currently wrapping up lesson 9 and feeling confident that I'm progressing well and having allot of fun. For a person where this is my first instrument was worried I wouldn't last but the lessons have helped me learn to read a little music, all the notes and some fun songs. I've paired it with some support from other YouTubers and a music book with audio but my main way of learning has been the classes from here. I would say there are a few things that could make it better with video graphics added like putting the notes on the screen while playing to the video and having the audio recording do the same. Also some play back features to go back to the start of different versus. Just some suggestions, but once my free trial ends I'm still going to keep paying monthly service for lessons and finish through the intermediate and masters. I practice everyday and love tin whistle and working on my next whistle purchase. Love the wild Irish it has a sweet harmony to it and relatively easy to hit all notes. It does clogg easy is only draw back but it's an amazing whistle for my first and I love it and don't regret the purchase at all."

"I was standing playing "The Gallwaygirl" tune with my melodeon in front of the crowd for the "Fête de la Musique" and having fun, when the upper strap bridge broke suddenly... I stopped playing, looked for a chair, and had to sit down to keep on playing, but the pleasure was no more the same since the link between a "sitting" player and the dancing and listening public was somehow broken.
