"Bought TI-84 Plus CE last year for my daughter from Staples. 1 year after she gets this intermittent Validating OS message on the screen. Tried to diagnose the issue and the conclusions are possibly firmware/storage failure or hardware fault. Unable to resolve with normal troubleshooting. My Staples solar calculator outlasted this piece of disappointment"

I ask for a number of higher management and they refuse to give it. I will most likely design the part out and shy away from TI on any new designs"

"This used to be a great company who I would always consider one of the top choices when developing a circuit design. Now that they have revoked support to individuals and their staff at trade show stands aren't interested in discussing technical matters or use cases, I avoid any of their parts. Distributor reps. have also commented on how difficult it has become to obtain support from TI and are less likely to recommend them. It seems TI are only interested if you are a large company with volume buying power. Such a shame because if they supported individuals, students and hobbyists, they would go on to use TI parts in the future."
